José's too thick to handle a player like HBA, it would mean he'd have to think which is usually where it goes wrong for him. I'm pretty confident our French wizard will have the better of him on Sunday, he's certainly got the skill, which is what José's struggled with in the past.

Don't agree that players are better now than they used to be. Fitter and faster, yes, but more ability and intelligence? Not in my book, certainly not over the last 5 years anyway. The game's been going through a defensive slump in my opinion as it's tilted itself towards attacking. Just comparing the top defenders in the world right now, against 10 years ago and there's no competition for me.
