  1. now now "football chairman" and other dude, were missing the plot here. at the end of the day, i can be patient untill january or say next summer (probably january) for more big sinings, i can understand if ahsley wants to get a feel for what the cluib already has? and imo we have some great signing already without spending a bushel of moeny, and i think thats GOOD business seeing he jsut replaced 5 odd players that left that used to be considered rather important. so lets not compare budgets that we dont have a clue about because clearly the formalities of spending are different this year. also we still have a week, you mgiht be surprised when deco walks in or something!

so what about their wages then? how many 'squad players' do we now have on how much a week?

If Ashley can't see how far back you can fall if you f*** up one window by not spending, even given the example of this very club, then like I said, he's a bit of a daft c*** tbh

He's not a 'daft cunt', hes made 2 billion on his own would have to be one lucky fucker to make 2 billion on sheer luck.

  2. I think that Martins will get 15 in the premiership i reckon so will Owen if he stays fit.

Viduka can manage 10, but then again he has to stay fit. i think Ameobi should target 10 but i think he will get 8 and depending on where Smith plays maybes 5-10 goals is realistic. In all competitions i have no idea how many players will get.

  3. Smith you see will be a success at newcastle...we all love passionate, hard working players here and Smith is just that, granted he's not 'world class' but we are building a club back up here and Smith is the sort of player we need right now and for £6m is fairly cheap in todays market. As far as im concerned we are in a far greater position than we was 12 months ago! People are so negative on this thing....stop moaning and get behind the toon!!!!!!  :clap2:

    i agree,

12 months ago we had only bought in - Martins, Sibi, Rossi and Bernard

So far we have bought - Barton, viduka, Roz, Geremi and looks like we have Smith, Cacapa and Dragutinovic.

i know which window i have preferred.

the one with a billion quid to spend, rather than £5m? clever boy

    Thanks for the compliment.

  5. I want to know who the player is we will be getting tomorrow to replace Dyer, a deal done that quick it has to be a Hammers player..

    Tevez

Habe to say well done LuaLua, I thought he looked very good on the vb tonightall, good skill, quick feet, plenty of pace and very composed.

Hes been in the set up for a while, one of LuaLuas other cousins was in year below me at school he was really good but he left suddenly (no not when LuaLua was transferred) before that. Zenga is special though only 16, but theres another kid coming through called Daniello i think, he was that African prodigy that was nearly deported last year, he looks a prospect.

  6. In Scotland...

Wasn't impressed by one Celtic player tbh.

At least under MON you had players who were capable of performing to a certain level.

If that team lined up in the Premiership week in week out, it would get relegated. The Coventry side Strachan took down contained better players.

Trust me. Brown, Donati, McGeady and Naka is a class midfield. Not just by Celtic's standard. Scott Brown is the closest young player I've ever seen to Roy Keane. He's a clone. Naka is better than anyone you've got. There's no doubt in my mind about that. The guy plays the game with his brain and is incredibly intelligent.

Naka is as good as Nobby Solano, thats it. He was average at Reggina, and he will obviously look good against teams like Hibs.

  7. Zog is quick as f***. What you on about?

Edit: I think Allardyce is as keen on counter-attacking football as anyone we've had going by the pre-season matches I've seen.

Zog is quick. Quick as f***? Nope. Not in the Bellamy, Dyer league at all.

Possibly not, but they're the two quickest players we've probably ever had! Very quick, all the same. Think Sam'll want to keep pace, anyway.

Martins is the quickest player we have had, we haven't seen him him hit top speed yet apart from when he tanned essien against Chelsea last season.

  8. Sunderland losing 1-0 to Cork City 15 minutes left. They are playin s****. Cork fans singing can we play you every week!

    :clap2:

    Edit:1-1

    woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh

    they suck!

  9. Eidur is the more accomplished of the two, i'm waiting to see if Oba has managed to ensure that his second touch isnt a tackle before I make a final decision

Martins play so far has looked much better compared to last season i think, especially his touch.

  10. buy eidur he would be a huge player for us,and it dosen't make any sense to compare martins with him

eidur is past his best now, i would like him here and he may be a better overall player but he won't score as many goals as Martins, and thats what being a striker is all about.

  11. Aye played some decent stuff, was mainly the 2nd half when the balls were getting hoofed upto Carroll, mainly from Given.

I admit i didn't see the juve game, but i heard we played good stuff.

i was at the celtic game and we played fucking awesome, we spread it wide had lots of variety of passing that i havent seen since 2004, it was great to watch.
