I'm not over impressed with that like, and I wouldn;t be sure about having them on the board.
I don't know whats worse, that or the headline below - 'SHOLA AMEOBI has thanked interim manager Joe Kinnear for salvaging his career with Newcastle United'
-
oh how they crawleth back up from underneath the rock
You wait for donkeys, and 2 come along at once.

Some of my best friendships came from fights.

We (should) all learn from our mistakes.

Whatever happened to the singer from AC/DC?

a loaded gun of happy-jizz!!

Time to dig out my duffel coat methinks.
Have you got your mittens on a string?

Lets hope the FA take 3 points off the bastards.

A decade ago there were a few that went down in a removal van

the team I posted won't start in a million years. Xisco definitely won't start, and I'd be surprised if Taylor, Butt and Duff lost their places. And it makes me f***ing fed up to think that.
Agreed, what's interesting though is that the majority of people on this thread agree on a similar line up, with the exception of Taylor/Bassong & Xisco/Shola. there's plenty of room on the bench for the other. (whatever happened to tactics?)
-
What have you seen from Xisco to suggest he is any better than Shola?
Sholas has played more years for us than Xisco has played hours.
And?
And I would be more than willing to gamble that Xisco could be a far better player than Shola ever dreamed he could be (given the chance), and that Xisco is could be better suited to playing the kind of football that would work with Martins/Owen being alongside him.

Given
Beye Coloccini Bassong Enrique
Jonas Guthrie Barton N'Zogbia
Martins Xisco
for me.
I like that formation.
If those players were playing to the best of their ability's, you've got a top six side there. (and they would be great to watch).

Expected a bit more balls from the bloke yesterday. Let's just hope he saw what we all saw and sorts out the side for the next game accordingly.

Player A slides in studs up
That's the difference.

Doctor Martin boots, white laces, a black and white tartan kilt and a pair of yer mams stockings on ya heed.

'Hark now hear' is a mackem song.
The majority of our songs sound poor these days (Geordie Boot Boys was fun back in '84).
We need a more musical approach, a bit of syncopation...
Try slowing things down a bit, alternately signing different lines etc (thus creating an interesting audible effect).
a bit of creativity dear boys.
btw, I like the 'Toon, Toon' song with accompanying clapping and people missing every other 'Black & White Army' bit... (recall it at WH many moons ago).

Yes but even thought he slightly touched the ball there was every chance it could have gone wrong, so thats why im calling it rash.
What a load of bobbins.

I enjoy a tackle like that as much as a goal, it was perfect.

He's an interim manager and that's what's working so if it ain't broke why fix it? Talk of making the position permanent will add pressure and some fans will resent it. I don't think he's the answer long term in any case but I have been impressed with his knowledge of the game. More than anything I am just happy that we have a manager who really wants to be here
Spot on.

finally the decision to sit back and let a team attack us for over 10 minutes that cost us 3 points.
We had no one to keep the ball up front.
Carroll can trap the ball further than I can kick it.
It didn't help also when we had Given still booting the ball up the field, only to be defending it again within a few minutes.

All the money went to research this new technology.
