  1. Had to type it on the move. I’m just a helpful guy what can I say? Appreciate it
  2. Definitely the football equivalent of asking Homer Simpson to design your next car.
  3. Only just got around to watching 'Diego Maradona'. Absolutely brilliant. Love seeing old footage, especially simple things like him in personal training, stuff we probably wouldn't ordinarily see. His life in Naples must have been crazy from the moment he stepped off the plane. I think he's my favourite player of all time.
  4. Sadly, that is my viewpoint too. Disappointed in Caulkin if that's the case but I guess he maybe had little choice if under pressure to proceed something.
  5. That's because he usually gets sacked first.
  6. The guy could not be more perfect for Mike Ashley.Bruce will be here for a good while yet.
  7. We once saw Staveley and Ashley having a meal together. After getting my hopes sky high that night, i'm fucked if i'm going there again.
  8. Don't do it to yourself, Paully. It'll be gutting if Caulkin has put this story out with no substance to back it up. Why didn't he just leave well alone ? He's got links to Staveley - there is no way he'd have penned that article without a lot of belief and inside info that this was happening - he always remains quiet on takeovers so it's a huge thing for me this! What I don't get though is that if the first 'leak' in January supposedly caused problems, why publish this story now? We know that Ashley is vindictive and likely to change his mind on a whim. For the sake of argument, let's say that it is close, why put it at risk by publishing this story? What's to say it doesn't piss Ashley off and he scraps the whole thing. Caulkin has his contacts and probably trusts the info he has. I just don't trust Ashley one iota and therefore don't think that this is happening.

  10. If it's the one I think you're referring to, I fucking love that goal. Makes 2 players go skidding past him and he barely, touches the ball.
  11. Take some beating that. Sheer relief. Big step towards avoiding relegation to the old 3rd division for the 1st time in the history of the club, maybe even extinction. It means everything to me, that goal. It can make me cry even now when I watch it. Thinking about what it meant at the time and what it allowed us to experience in the next few seasons. Also never experienced a celebration like it. Only a goal that wins us a major trophy will come close for me.
  12. David Kelly v Portsmouth 1992.
  13. You've said this before. Comes from the same joke book as the 'Perez is Mexican' zinger.
  14. The same thing still applies. Ashley could have the pen a hairs breadth away from the dotted line on the deal and I still wouldn't trust him to not pull back and tell everyone to fuck off.
  15. We are fucking disgraceful.
  16. So good that. Were some goals and results I'd clean forgotten about, like beating Sheff Utd at home 4-0.
  17. Mike Ashley couldn't possibly need some news to distract from his inhumane attempt to get his staff to continue to work unnecessarily.
  18. If you are a child of the 60's/70's and like a bit of nostalgia, this is a cracking Twitter feed
