Fantastic 3 points, first and foremost. They were pretty average. Looked outmuscled and poor in attack. Incredibly bad at set piece defending. We looked similar to our prem form. A lot of strange, individually bad performances and not much cohesion. Hall looked great, Tonali is wonderful, Thiaw is exquisite. But we know all that already. Gordon was utterly woeful, Elanga has no clue what he's doing and Barnes leaves a lot to be desired as a starter. If they had their first team out it may have been a different story, I think we'd have lost.

I'm not sure Elanga knows how to play football. He just flaps at it and, if he manages to get it under control, just head down and sprints into nowhere. So weird.

Tonali is just such a good footballer. I don't think he can ever possibly play less than a 7/10.
