All Pardew did was confirm what we already knew. Don't know where people are getting the Cisse playing down the middle from the start? He suggested that this is where he will likely to end up, that could be at some random time in the game. Cisse and Ba did occasionally swap, which we obviously can't do with Shola in his place.

I suppose Pardew has the thought that if his game plan isn't working at 4-2-3-1, he can change it to 4-4-2 without making a substitution. I can only hope he changes it a lot sooner than he normally does!
