The Battle For More Points than 2010/11 - SUCCESS!
Quailman replied to Taylor Swift's topic in Football
Currently stands at.. Arsenal - 9% Chelsea - 26% Everton - 4% Liverpool - 14% Manchester City - 15% Manchester Utd - 22% Newcastle - 1% Tottenham - 9% 1% - I know we shouldn't be on the poll, but that is still a little demoralising :'( -
The Battle For More Points than 2010/11 - SUCCESS!

Just seen on Sky Sports News that they have a poll up for 'Who will win the Premier League Title?' The presenter has just said they chose the teams that finished in the top 8 last year. There seems to be a huge error then, because we are on there! Arsenal Chelsea Everton Liverpool Manchester City Manchester Utd Newcastle Tottenham At least we're in someone's thought process! -
Damage limitations against Citeh Just hope it doesn't knock us too much and we get our first win against West Ham!
-
On NUFCTV, Pardew has just said that Remy won't train at all before the Braga game due to injury and has very little chance of making the Citeh game. He will hopefully be fit and ready for West Ham.
-
It's obvious Pardew is trying to man-manage, by not upsetting some of his influential players. He needs to grow some balls and realise that he is the manager and they are his staff! Don't get me wrong, there are a mass amount of faults in the man's footballing strategies, but it looks to me like he is walking on eggshells with the team selection choices! Nobody can be that stupid!! Surely?!
-
After watching the NUFCTV interview, he claims to have a slight calf problem, but should be Ok for Braga.

SSN - 92Live - What a way to show the new kit! -
A much improved second half performance. We controlled large stints, but noticeable lack of attacking menace. Tiote should stick to the simple passing game (give the ball to someone with passing ability) - nearly every one of his 'attacking' passes were intercepted or just given away. He was a work horse in midfield, so the other aspects of his game (apart from at the end when almost gifted them a goal) were good for pre-season. I thought Jonas actually had a good game - seemed sharp, but would he do it in the PL? Probably not. Solid at the back during the second half and Santon impressed me with his attacking and he was solid in defence. Haris impressed me - looking forward to an injury free season - hopefully! Shame Campbell didn't get more of a run out - hope Gouf is Ok! Not going to mention the first half and player performances - really no point and I don't want to focus on the obvious negatives. Although has to be said that Pardew had a few players playing in the wrong positions - needs to choose the set positions and get the players to focus on improving their game from those positions.
-
One thing is for sure - we will buy a lot more than 2 or 3 now that Kinnear is in. He will want to make changes and get rid of the fringe players - I only hope the players coming in aren't trying to just rescue failing careers! This week will certainly not be followed by silence! No more silence now for the unforeseeable future!
-
Done deal according to Kinnear then. Didn't work before, doubt it's going to work now! Hope I'm wrong of course!
-
Interesting, I thought Ben Arfa was s****. Gave the ball away and ran into trouble. Its bizarre you thought he was good. I thought the same as you, he kept getting caught on the ball. Completely agree - thought he was definitely short of a yard of pace and energy. Ran out of ideas and overran the ball. With a good pre-season, free of injury I'm sure he'll regain his form!
-
I hope this is the last game Jonas plays for us!
-
How many missed passes now from Tiote?!!!
-
Not seen this type of performance in a while!!
-
Unbelievable comments! IMO he will stay until our first 'string' of bad results. Delaying the inevitable!
-
The only other freekick Pardew knows is to give it away with a pass on the floor...
-
Delighted with the result and hugely relieved! 2nd half performance was awful, as expected! If tactical prowess was a penis then Pardew would be castrated! Once again, clueless! Probert was shocking - I'm sure he will look back at this game and hunch over, hanging his head in shame...... oh wait
