  1. Just have to weather the storm here, our chance will come. Karius keeping us in it at the moment
  2. Less haste more speed, they're on us like a rash
  3. We need some dark arts, rile up the natives, slow the game down.
  4. I have seen other fans criticise West Ham on twitter for wanting him out purely based on league position and the fact they won a cup last season. My answer to them is the same as my answer to the ones criticising us, you can't comment on a team you don't watch week in, week out and a glance at the table tells you nothing.
  5. This is exactly it, scared that other teams could "buy" the league but the glaring irony is that's how its always been. The reality is the red teams want to be the last ones that were able to buy the league before it got too expensive to keep up for these American owners. As I alluded to in another post, for these owners it's not so much about the glory of the competition but about maintaining their membership at the most prestigious table so that they can continue to reap the financial benefits to fill their pockets. They're established and world renowned so they're guaranteed the best sponsorships, kit deals, etc... they don't want to fall off the map and watch that dwindle away, nor have to split the pie into more pieces. As noted, Manchester United have £1b in debt, but it's serviceable with their income, the owners can line their pockets with circa £100m a year and still keep the wolves at bay, they would be royally screwed if teams around them could spend unfettered.
  6. Thats like saying players won't come to us because we value someone at £20m but thr buying club only want to pay £10m
  7. He clearly likes being a firefighter and ducking out when he thinks the club is a steady ship and if that's what he wants good luck to him. I just hope we have some kind of contingency plan for the information he's taking with him, be that some kind of NDA or a quick replacement and change in direction, someone with pedigree and longevity.
  8. It's not the fact we're losing him, it's how it's all played out that's left a bad taste for me.
  9. Shown his true colours now the little skank, hope he gets warts on his willy
  10. I think this is a good explanation of what he's best at and where we're at with him:
  11. Just seen that since Wilson joined in 2020 he's missed 78 games so far which is 41% of the total ganes, presuming he doesn't play again this season it'll be closer to 48% Proven and relatively prolific, but unbelievably injury prone, love the guy but he needs to be replaced.
  12. Has anyone tried to switch him off and on again?
  13. What is even more infuriating is it's not about the competition and winning for these red owners, they aren't in it for the glory, they're in it for the dividends. These American business owners just want to milk the tit at the highest table yet have the audacity to say that the state owned clubs will ruin football. State owned clubs don't care about the prize funds, the balance sheets and their healthy end of year financial pat on the back. They want to be the best, to flex their might against the best teams, they're in it for the prestige. It's all very clandestine.
  14. If he does decide to leave then we need to make it as rough as possible for them after their loan fiasco. At least 12 months gardening leave and make him sign some NDAs.
  15. Villa looked quite dominating for most of the game but Man u just kept numbers back and squashed any threat. Villa's decision making and final ball were poor, bit of a smash and grab but that's how they play these days.

  17. It's a huge dilemma for Howe, we lack bite in midfield and 3/4 of the team are so one paced our lines are easily broken, it also doesn't help that our last line of defence in Pope is out of the picture too. Burn is the whipping boy but he lacks any real protection so is the easy target, Livra obviously the better LB but can't do the job that's asked of Burn. If we change shape to allow better protection we'll lose that intensity and ability to win the ball higher up the pitch and probably struggle to score entirely, keep it as it is and we will continue to ship goals but potentially still win with our attacking threat. Looking at who's out you can see how it should and will work when we have bodies available but somehow we've managed to frankenstein our way to 7th regardless, so should he really change anything? It's not pretty, it's not easy to watch and it's tough on the old heart but we're in and around the mix and we're not tumbling down the table ?‍♂️
  18. This is horrific, something needs changing now
  19. Can't be having Crap Bruno spending 80 minutes in there for his petulance, can we?
  20. I'm with you on this one @Heron it's common etiquette for me, I definitely see it as lacking manners.
