  1. In my prediction league I run at work I've put us down for a 2-1 loss, feels like a much tougher fixture than earlier in the season, I'll be happy if we come away with any points from this one, tough fixture.
  2. Absolutely loving the downfall of the rat and for the whole club to be in disarray and complete abject failure at the same time is precious schadenfreude for the soul, couldn't have happened to a more deserving club and though it's never going to be permanent, I will revel in every moment of it. Their grandstanding of "the best transfer window ever" their lording of their position in the pecking order of football when it came to Isak and our "audacity" of not gift wrapping the rat for them, Slots behaviour and ironic jibes aimed towards our club, their air of superiority and derision of "little old Newcastle" all coming back to haunt them in the most artistic way possible. The only thing that could make this better is us winning something, them winning nothing and us finishing above them in every competition we share, its no more than the rat and the arrogant scousers deserve. Lastly, I hope that the rat continues to choke in front of goal and his groin explodes into a million pieces, such is my bitterness of all things scouse. Pure poetry.
  3. Nah but it'd be hilarious if this was the game they turned their season around.
  4. Just a single point behind scum and scummier now, top 7 next week?
  5. Just popped in to say... hahahahahahahahaha!!!!
  6. Howe put out a team he thought could do a job and rested some of the form players, midfield was a bit of a patchwork quilt but I thought we knocked it around well enough, but yet again lacked that cutting edge when it mattered. I don't think it was any kind of horror show, I thought we played quite well, Burnley made it tough when they went down to 10 men as most teams do and we struggled to break them down, unlucky with the pen also. We won, that's the main thing and for the most part it was a comfortable afternoon. Some big games ahead and a much stronger team selection mid-week and next weekend.
  7. Bruno has looked brilliant in that role, really pulling strings
  8. I just want to see us win a few games on the bounce and see where we go from there, it's been....tumultuous this season.
  9. Little bit envious of Villa ngl
  10. The Spurs result wasn't ideal and definitely felt like points dropped but Howe didn't do much wrong, we were the much better side we just lacked that cutting edge and still managed to keep the unbeaten run intact. I have full confidence we are in one of his good patches and I think this period will reap some good results for us culminating in a win over Man Utd on boxing day. Keep the faith, Howe has always been and will continue to be the right man for the job.
  11. They look pretty toothless too, between Sesko and Zirkzee they're not exactly prolific

    Yoane Wissa

Forward options! Hope he gets at least some game time Saturday so he's ready to tear the mackems a new one the following week.
  14. I thought on the whole we played well last night, some neat passing that had the better of Spurs with some dodgy wayward passing mixed in, its clear who the weak links are if we want to start to dominate games. Were it not for some tight margins in that game I don't think Spurs could have been unhappy if we were 2 goals up by half time and won the game at a canter, our cutting edge has taken a bit of a hit this season. Our press looked solid, especially early on where we gave them no outball at all and kept turning the screw. Bruno was the game changer when he came on, he was pulling all the strings and had them tied in knots and it was good to see Gordon showing glimpses of his old self. It was definitely 2 points dropped and the fact that thug scored both their goals makes it feel even more like a loss than the draw we got. A frustrating game in the fact that we were the much better side, dominant for most of the game but just couldn't quite punish them for all our huffing and puffing, we've really got to hope that Wissa coming into the team can add the goals we should be scoring and turn days like yesterday into the easy wins they should be. Lastly, we really need a decent keeper, Ramsdale has add an extra dimension to our play, giving us a great option out from the back but that 2nd goal gets worse every time you watch it, Pope saves that but I don't have the confidence to say we win with him in nets either as he's got a rick in him too. Win at the weekend and forget this one, just please let us beat the mackems the week after!
  15. Snatched a draw from the jaws of victory, Spurs deserved nothing from that, early Christmas present there, both goals were soft and preventable.
