  1. I'd have pissed myself if that went in!
  2. He's a Manyoo player, that's automatic qualification!
  3. I'd fancy us to beat this England side.
  4. What a quality strike too, how the hell did he score from there? Who does he think he is HBA?
  5. Iraqis getting completely bum raped by Brazil here.
  6. Can't afford to play 4-4-2 in this one, need to dominate from the off, also as much as Shola will no doubt score his obligatory goal I don't think it's wise to start him, he's better as a sub. Also Cisse is too much of a liability atm to have him start in such an important game. Hoping we can get Krul back in net for this one and at least Captain Colo in the back 4, he's been sorely missed, midfield 3 picks itself with Tiote, Cabaye and Jonas, let HBA play his number 10 role and Ba upfront, then I would put either Fergie or Ober at left forward for pace and width. Think it'll be a tough one but one we can definitely win, would settle for a draw away though, begrudgingly!

People have needs, no matter how much they get paid. And until someone steps in and regulates the payday "legal lone sharks" this will continue. My argument is not about what they do but the hypocrisy of all the media hype, I'm not condoning or supporting what they do, I'm merely dismantling the media soap box that's been erected outside SJP.

How is the APR irrelevant? Somebody under 25 gets £56.25 a week and would have to pay almost 20% of his/her weekly benefit in interest alone using the figures you use. Because APR denotes the % paid over a year. Like I said, I don't agree with the way they run their business, but it's these APR rates that are being branded around like a stick to beat with. And also to just be a little pedantic, why would someone who only earns £56.25 a week take out a £100 loan with a view to paying it back in a week when their income doesn't cover that?

I may be a little biased..... but to be honest, like I said, I don't agree with what they do but it's a tad hypocritical to castigate Wonga and as such our deal with them, when the likes of rate fixing scandals, fossil fuel pariahs and alcohol providers are gracing the billboards and shirts of the game already?

Or maybe even a certain rate fixing scandal unearthed earlier this year, surely the morality of that should be under greater scrutiny?

Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with the way they go about their business, but it's as much the financial ombudsman's fault for not regulating the charges said companies can enforce. There's a lot of hypocrisy out there though when there are other morally questionable companies investing in/sponsoring all manner of sports/sporting teams. It amuses me that the papers are forming a big anti-Wonga bandwagon when they have advertising space dedicated to them in their own papers!?!

These APR rates being banded about are utterly irrelevant as they don't lend money over a year, if you were to borrow 100 from them, in a weeks time you would need to pay back 110, that's equivalent of 14,000% APR, but you would never pay that interest because it is a short term loan.

I posted my response to the Telegraph article: Change the tune! As I said on a previous story, Wonga already sponsor Blackpool, where were the pitchforks and torches when that deal was done? Lets not get into EON sponsoring a cup, to name another company who are "predators" to financially troubled families and now we are playing in the Budweiser cup, thriving off the alcoholics of the country... What is morally acceptable? What is a sponsorship on a shirt? An emblem of a football club's moral stance on society or an advertising space, much like the ones found in NEWSPAPERS, merely used to inject extra cash flow into the aforementioned company coffers?

    Papiss Cissé

Perfect model professional and all-round nice bloke, there's a few players out there that could learn a thing or two from his philosophies and ideals.
  15. Some good performances out there, thought Obertan looked a different player, Ferguson looking dangerous going forward and glad to see Cisse on the scoreboard and Cabaye back to his former self. Consistency now please!!
  16. misconstrued much? Like I'm crying we're 3-0 up, happy with the result, ecstatic with the performance, just going through the motions in the last 10 minutes, don't think there'll be much action was all I was saying, eeshh!
  17. Fergie has to get a shot at Manure after his recent performances, not least he's the only one who knows how to deliver a cross!
  18. Great technique by Cisse there with the ball coming over his shoulder reminiscent to some of his physics bending goals last year, love it!
  19. Seriously? Waddle "Shola will be disappointed with that finish". I'm not even joking. Aye there's nothing worse than the ball hitting the back of the net when you're a yard out, gutted for Shola!
  20. It's like he expects every foray into the final third to work out perfectly. It's like he's a cock noshing, Newcastle hating, arse bandit
  21. Anita crapped himself. Definitely a 5p, bin lid moment for him there
