Minhosa Given the steaming pile of festering shit we/PIF/PCP were left with, this season was always going to be a bit of a gamble as to whether the leaks could be patched up to just see us through to the summer when space and time could be given to properly rebuilding. To be honest, whether that rebuilding job is done in the Champo or in the PL, it's clear that we're on the up. What's become ever more apparent is that the rot has gone far deeper than any of us probably imagined - not just the deteriorating physical infrastructure of the club, but the phsychology and mindset of well paid, once reasonably competent, players. In my opinion, whilst it's possible to rebuild the former, the latter just need to be binned off and passed along their separate ways. That was never going to be possible given the timing/circumstances of the takeover. I just hope, sincerely, that the Champo won't put off/postpone the levels of investment needed at every level of the club. The media frenzy and cunts like Sutton/Simon Jordon wanking themselves blind over us going down will be enough to stomach as it is.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's loaned out or sold. He'll still have some suitors in the way that Ritchie, Shelvey and Lascelles won't

I know it's been said before, but picking up some of the best talent in the Champo wouldn't be a bad idea. Brereton, Djed Spence, the Bournemouth lad, Ilias Chair, Cavaleiro, etc would all be decent buys.

Tbf, Blind was playing in the Dutch league, in by quite some distance the best side in that league, with very little by way of pressure and plenty of mobility and talent around him.

I love Eriksen as a player, but Christ he's in no way suited to life in this shit show where there'll be so much pressure on him to perform week in and week out. A nostalgic return to Spurs and a few cameos before the end of the season would be great for him

If the main objective this season is to avoid relegation, Rafa is infinitely better equipped to get this shit show playing together. Long term thereafter is a different proposition.

There are definitely not three worse squads than us, like. We're the only team in the league without any discernable style of play. Most of the players still don't look as they have a fucking clue what they're supposed to be doing on the pitch over the course of 90 minutes

The first thing the owners should have done was booted Nickson and employed a scout with a remit to just go and find a new team's worth of players.

He's always fucking bullied by forwards these days - no matter how big they are. He's also old enough to know better, but his reading of the game jist gets worse and worse.

This is absolutely where I'm at too. I keep anticipating that things will click - that we're due a decent result and a consistent, coherent, performance. But each and every game that goes by, it looks as though that simply isn't going to happen.
