  1. Thats is what football is about, ultimately.
  2. At the moment. Will it be within 10 years. I highly doubt it. Its a stadium. In the same place it has been for 119 years. I don't care what it is called as long as the club keeps playing at the same place wearing the same black and white stripes in front of the same Geordies who made me fall in love with the club from the other side of the world with the players and fans showing the same passion for the club that makes the club special. And what if those black and white stripes go as well some day? If a company offered £20 million to redesign the club's home shirt in their colours would you gladly accept that? But that is a different kettle of fish to stadium naming rights. To answer the question no I wouldn't agree with that. Stadium naming rights however have been sold everywhere else in the world and proven to be a successful income for clubs. Again I will reiterate I am annoyed Sports Direct aren't paying money for this. I am not fussed the club are looking to sell naming rights for the stadium. But the poijt is where do you draw the line? Just because othe clubs have done it for money dosent suddenly mean the line in the sand disapears does it? Like someone said, will the black and white stipes being modified be enough for some? That line isnt there for you, fair enough, it is for me.
  3. Randy Lerner is cutting costs, trimming the wage bill after heavy spending at the moment. Villa Park is still Villa Park, yes?
  4. Heritage, history, iconic image/name. Some things are worth more than money and there is a line you shouldnt cross. Exactly. So you would rather see the club miss out on a big revenue stream giving an advantage to not only the other clubs in England but also in Europe? If it meant taking away St. James' Park, yes. The words I used actually mean something.

  6. http://www.kitbag.com/stores/kitbag/help/help.aspx?hpg=contactus Yes. That and KITBAG.COM on, its the most suitable and most hurtful to him potentially. Something nice and simple like http://bildr.no/view/1022583 , would be great. Positive and clean.
  7. http://www.kitbag.com/stores/kitbag/help/help.aspx?hpg=contactus Sent one, everyone should send one....

  9. hopefully they just don't say where the match is being played They do at the start of the programme.
  10. Ideally people with Sky would ring up and state theyre cancelling their subscription if they display 'Sports Direct Arena' in text when we're on etc, on a mass scale. Highly unlikely I know.
  11. Full marks for ensuring the spelling is correct. No Boycoutt on me
  12. http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/2350/kitbag2.jpg http://img828.imageshack.us/img828/5941/kitbag.jpg Something along those lines.
  13. We should litter the city with 'em. Paint it on the road outside the f***ing stadium if we have to. I think a large scale t-shirt campaign would be a good thing, if someone were willing and able to sell them cheap enough. Which company is going to be wanting its potential customers wearing a "Your brand is s***" t-shirt? http://i42.tinypic.com/25hpqib.png Would be worth every penny. I think incorporating a Kitbag ad is a good idea too. Like someone said, I fear that would give him some satisfaction because his name is being put out there even more. Something like Sports Direct with a big cross through then KITBAG.COM in bigger writing would be more appropriate.
  14. Remember - any singing that doesn't fit in with what the regmine want will see you banned from St James..... Then everyone unites together and makes it impossible for them to enforce such a thing. The support inside the ground is already divided and marginalized. The club has seen to that. True. Ideally people need to understand that this sort of behaviour from Ashley is worthy of a response - whatever that response may be.

Silent protest against the fat sly c***, and the usual support to the team. I'll travel down if something big gets going. Kitbag.com is nothing to do with him, and would be thrust into the limelight if they were used, which Ashley would not like.

    Alan Pardew

This is why we hate him, Pardew. Forget the finances.
  18. KITBAG.COM Banners, Posters, t-shirts etc.
  19. He cant control your voice so tell you bastard what a low life he is on Saturday.
  20. I can also see this happening. A matter of time before Arsenal get up and running. I really dont think theyll do it. I think they'll be in there at points through-out the season but will ultimately fall short at 5th, with Spurs or Liverpool getting it. A lot like Liverpool when they dropped out the top 4 a few seasons ago.
  21. Yep. Seems like one of the few manager who could build a truly world-class team without plunging a club miles into debt. Needs to regain some of his earlier pragmatism, though. He dosent need to plunge the club into massive debt to get them heading in the right direction again. He needed centre-backs who had played in England and knew the league - like Samba & Dann, both would have added steel and know-how. But his stubborness won out, well done Arsene.
  22. I personally feel fairly confident that it'll happen one day. Aye, I used to think he wouldn't because of the money generated by selling the advertising. But he clearly prefers advertising his own s*** for free We'll undoubtedly be fed some bullshit about it being for the season, as we have no worthy prospective sponsorship offers when the NR deal ceases. Correct. Wouldn't be as bad if they actually had a half decent logo, or you know, put some f***ing money into the club. Hmm, turns out I'm furious about this. Who knew you being serious ? Meant Sports Direct from all of the Advertising, not Mike Ashley I can't see that there's much difference since Ashley owns about 75% of Sports Direct. I just can't get wound up about the money aspect of it. As I said earlier he could get Sports Direct to pay something for this and he could also charge interest on his loan, he chooses to do neither and that's up to him. I'm more concerned about the degradation of a great stadium. Same. Having a unique and brilliant stadium is one of the things you could never take away and always be proud of however bad the team was getting on. Was the same with our home atmosphere. You could never deny our support was the best vocally and we would make great noise at SJP, but thats a bif of a myth now. We still do have a brilliant stadium, but that was one part of it, an iconic image, which has now been tarnished badly to look like a loads of other sponsered grounds.
  23. Oh f***ing hell. You've decided to sign up on here as well, have you? Welcome along, I suppose... Its a disgrace that, as you mentioned, its where football is going at the moment, and its infuriating.
  24. I wonder if the Level 7 moves and the sign going up are tied in to each other. Sports Direct were given stick from Level 7 when the Gallowgate roof was painted. Well I think its obvious his ego dosent like any reaction from the fans, so I wouldnt be too suprised. But theres still a core together, and some at the back of the Gallowgate. Anyone who walks into SJP and see's that will be pissed off you would have thought though, and should vent their anger at him.
  25. He clearly hates being called names and he'll hate Sports Direct getting stick just as much. As for his money not being put in, I'll be very surprised if he isn't shown to have taken money out during the last 12 months. Like someone said, "Sports Direct is fucking shit" should be rining around the ground regularly. Or if the sad twat will get buzz out of 'no such thing as bad publicity' then simply "What the fucking hell is that".
