  1. Lindelof off to a flyer, too. One of the worst penalty causing tackles and then a shit penalty to boot.
  2. Yea shit is like the Baseketball movie. Wheres the other games thread? Man Utd v Real Madrid with the worst pens ever.
  3. I thought these European pre season friendlies and local derbies were a bad idea at first but seeing the players actually celebrate and take it seriously has made me rethink things. The levels have increased drastically.
  4. The teams that play in Europe on a regular basis all have their own unique club font for cup competitions (We did in 2012/13). We are just using the 2017 Premier League nameset whereas Man United have been using their own Should be in the little things in football thread.
  5. Anyone associate shirt numbers with weird players? For some reason I associate the number 10 with Rui Costa.
  6. Casemeiro just has more energy. He covers more ground.
  7. So our fullbacks will be two former Sunderland players? Hmm.
  8. Is Neymar really going to PSG? What an awful move if that happens.

    Jacob Murphy

Got a good feeling about this. Not seen him play, but good stats. Also promising to see he's taken part in the England U21 set up. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jacob-murphy/leistungsdaten/spieler/199527
  10. I thought all those guys had retired. Chelsea had a bid for Higuin rejected apparently.
  11. He's quite obviously not worth 50m even in this climate like, and that's not a detraction from his talent either, it's just a fairly obvious, inflated price. I wouldn't say it's about right for him considering it's now made him the most expensive defender in the world and, as he's obviously not the best right back, let alone the best defender in the world, people are going to use that as the yardstick to measure him by. And that yardstick is unfortuanate for him. He has two things going against him. The English premium and the Premier League money. Hopefully these are taken into consideration when he's performing poorly. Obviously they wont but they should.
  12. For real. After everything that's happened, and all the lies we've been told, I've given up on us winning a trophy. I'm just going to watch the games and try to enjoy it for what it is. As for a team that I want to win in this disgusting football world, I'm rooting for Spurs. They're kinda like the "good guys". They have an English spine and the progression they've made in the last ten years has been admirable. Weird feelings.
  13. Was he overrated before? I feel like he's been held in the same regard throughout his entire career. On this forum anyway. I feel like foreign players are preferred to British players on this forum. I can see why, though. They're probably lauded by the English media. They also don't perform well in the international tournaments.
  14. That guy should never EVER take a penalty.
  15. Stones is not a very good player I think he is. he's a good footballer while not being a very good defender. He was very poor last season. If he doesn't improve next season, I think he'll be sold or loaned out. I personally don't have much hope for him. His positioning was awful last season. dunno why he's just not tried in midfield, it seems fairly obvious he just doesn't have a defenders mindset There are probably better players in that position available or on the books for Man City. Pep and Man City will discard a player if they're not performing regardless of the price tag.

  17. The fact that Spurs arguably already have a better RB is mental. Did Walker get dropped or was he injured? I like Trippier and he is good, but he didn't play that many games last season. He was performing well in a good team, but how he'll do over the course of a whole season is the real question. He does create a whole lot of chances and the amount of assists he has in the low amount of games he played in is very impressive. I think against Watford last season, he created about six clear opportunities that could have been goals. 50 Mil is good business for them. Spurs are smart with their money, they'll stretch that out.
  18. I also remember that. It was something like hoof, header, header, hoof, header, header, header, hoof out of play.
  19. The games are always entertaining. The last one had it all. Think they'll be more appreciated in 10 years.
  20. Dunno if these fit your criteria Viduka and Hasselbaink Keane and Berbatov Donavan and Dempsey Vardy and Mahrez - know he's not a striker but there was a lot of chemistry. Sturridge and Suarez
  21. Always felt that Lukaku could do more in the air. For such a big guy, he doesn't score enough headers. He's best with the ball at his feet toward goal. He'll need to improve that hold up to further himself as a striker. He's not someone I would class as dangerous. When he's on the ball, I honestly expect him to make a mistake, so I'm suprised when he does score.
