Not really, McClaren had a good reputation as a coach and actually won something in his career. Bruce is apparently a nice guy and good man manager, seems to have generally good first years at clubs but other than that his pardew levels of atrocious. Pardew at least came with a reputation for his West Ham and Reading sides playing attacking football. God knows that was obviously no guage of what was to come. I mean we pipped both of them from the Championship when they’re not really doing too well. They’re not exactly on an upturn in their career. McClaren’s last jobs before us were Twente, Nottingham Forest and Derby. Bruce - Hull, Villa and Sheffield Wednesday. They both got Premier League jobs on the back of unsuccessful promotion bids. Playing style I don’t know. McClaren came with a reputation of playing good football but that was some of the worst we’ve ever played. I don’t even know how Bruce plays. I mean I expect us to play a little better than McClaren but who the hell even knows?

Been watching MLS more and more. Supporting DC United for now because of Rooney but once he’s done, probably won’t give a toss although when i was eight years old, I picked them as my American team because they had united in their name so who knows. NYCFC I guess will have to be my local team. The stadium is way up in The Bronx and I’m deep in Queens. It’s like and hour and half journey by public transport. And they play in a fucking baseball stadium. Hopefully I and them move closer together at some point.

Does ESPN+ carry all MLS games? I pretty much like to have as much live football on my tv as possible. I have Direct TV Now and not one channel is showing one of the seven live games on right now. Currently watching TFC vs Montreal Impact on my chipped cable box which carries TSN but the quality isn’t quite HD. $4.99 isn’t much admittedly for ESPN+ but for none of the cable channels to not be showing one game is quite ludicrous.

Been extremely pathetic. I love Messi but he seems to forget they almost got eliminated in the group stages in a group with Paraguay and Qatar. He has given found an excuse after every game, I think he’s starting to feel pressure regarding his legacy with the national team. I hope for his sake they win it at home next year, but the way he has carried himself this Copa America has really left a bad taste. Aye plus no one's mentioned there were previous between Medel and Messi during that match. And then the incident that got them sent off, Messi kicked Medel and then swiped out provoking Medel's reaction. Do I think a red was warranted? No, but I can understand why he pulled it out. The Chile players were surrounding the ref every time a foul was committed so his head was already gone. There is no conspiracy to keep Messi or Argentina down.

Gotta say though, Jean Beasajour’s trophy cabinet is quite impressive. A League Cup with Birmingham, FA Cup with Wigan and two Copa Americas! For a player who’s average at beat, it is quite incredible.
