  1. Always was an overstatement, but it may work here and there but it rarely works over the course of a season, like Mike said. I can only think of Atletico Madrid's La Liga win as an example of this and still that was pretty exciting as they came out of nowhere and defied the odds. Either way, if you want a playoff, you got the FA Cup and League Cup. League is perfect the way it is.
  2. How so? Those managers don't do well in the cups as it is right now. They'd only have to play against the big teams in the playoffs, there wouldn't be any need to attack or try to create something such as there would be if they played a smaller team What about in the CL or any competition for that matter? When Barca, Bayern or Real play a lesser team who defends and plays that style, they usually win. The best team always wins no matter what. That's just how it is.

    Paul Dummett

He may be shit on the ball, but I love that he's always positioning himself to become available for a pass. Good option to have for set pieces, also.
  5. Colo was faultless till almost Christmas as well. Him and Saylor were excellent together. We had good depth that season. Best, Shoala, Perch, Raylor, Guthrie, and Jonas/Ben Arfa performed when they were called upon. There seemed to be a togetherness in that team.
  6. Norwich 0-1 Liverpool Crystal Palace 0-3 Spurs Leicester 1-1 Stoke Man Utd 1-0 Southampton Sunderland 0-0 Bournemouth Watford 1-4 Newcastle West Brom 2-2 Aston Villa West Ham 1-3 Man City Everton 3-2 Swansea Arsenal 0-2 Chelsea
  7. Would love an all star game. Skills showcase, crossbar or free kick challenge would be fun, too.
  8. So no one else believes that African strikers are inconsistent? Oh come on.
  9. And I'd love it if he came back to the PL to score four more to get him to 100. But I still wouldn't call him consistent. He scored 69 league goals in his first 5 years. 16, 13, 13, 12, 15. Pretty consistent. Could have swore when he went to Everton, there was a discussion on here about how his goals would always dry up by January. And then three patchy seasons and a good one again. Inconsistent.
  10. Drogba, Kanu, Kolo/Yaya, Yeboah, Essien, Adebayor, Radabe... There are so many more examples. Astrowhite I reckon. I'll give you Drogba(one of my favorite players ever btw) Adebayor and Yaya. Kanu was quite patchy. Essien was a great player but injuries killed him. But was more talking about strikers. Like Martins, Kalou, Mido, Kone, Diouf, Benny Mccarthy, Benjani. Great when they felt like it but didn't always deliver.

  12. Yakubu, Cisse, Gyan, Odemwindie, there are so many more examples. I dunno why it happens but it does. Not trying to be racist either. My mum was born in Uganda. Also many of the cab drivers in NYC are From West Africa and they'll tell you the same thing. Their players show great promise and then fade and then start up again and so on.
  13. Can see Eminike having one good season and them being inconsistent for the rest of his time in the PL. hiatory has shown that this happens a lot with most of the African players to come here.
  14. Hope he spends hours preparing a lunch to take to work and then forgets it at home.
  15. Colback doesn't even dream of attempting that kind of pass. Let alone actually trying and pulling it off. He did for Sammy's goal vs Spurs but I see your point. It's always frustrated me that he is capable of a pass like that but he's either too stupid or too scared to attempt it.
  16. Graham Le Seax thinks everything is a foul
  17. Ayew looks pretty decent tbf. Could see him getting 10 in a better team.
  18. Handball. Fuck off ref. fuck off villa
  19. Why's he got green grocer gloves on?
  20. Hennessey was doing that for Wolves or Hull, which ever team he was playing for. His hands are crisp packets.
  21. This one's a risk so not sure how to feel about it. He's looked a threat almost everytime I've seen him play but the fact that he rarely starts is a big concern. There's gotta be an attitude problem or something. The time we beat Spurs 1-0, he was one of the best players on the pitch. He made about 6-7 chances that game but I distinctly remember Spurs fans slagging him off so dunno how much help they are.
  22. City are gonna win it, aren't they?
  23. Get away man, he's s****. Nah, I'm absolutely serious. Decent defending and quite good going forward Seen a few games where he's been their most attacking player.
