  1. Thauvin goal. Not the best quality but good enough. Looks a beaut.
  2. When was the last time we scored from a free kick?
  3. Possible giggs but I love these. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGo51OgcTdU
  4. About time video reviews start being used. One minute and one call per team for each team. Liverpool would be on three points.
  5. Enough with the God damn Jordans, Liverpool.
  6. Agree. Don't think anyone rates him at this point, though.
  7. Gameweek 4 Newcastle 1 v 1 Arsenal Aston Villa 0 v 0 Sunderland Bournemouth 1 v 3 Leicester Chelsea 3 v 1 Crystal Palace Liverpool 1 v 0 West Ham Man City 5 v 0 Watford Stoke 2 v 0 West Brom Tottenham 1 v 1 Everton Southampton 2 v 1 Norwich Swansea 0 v 1 Man United
  8. Personally think Benteke will bomb at Liverpool but could be wrong.
  9. Reminded me a bit of Ben Arfa skill wise, Obertan speed, lil bit of MC Hammer shit, too.
  10. 58 with bench boost. Clyne, Hendo(if fit) and Koscielny to play. Hut that's -16 because of transfers. Still pleased as I've significantly climbed the NO league.
  11. But they still had quality players like Zola, Lampard, Terry, Gudjonsen, Desailly etc. They just went a level up where as City went up like five levels. I always felt like we could beat City but now we can't. It's basically a guaranteed loss.
  12. What success did Man City have before they got the money? They were fighting to stay in the league and signing players like Mpenza and Bernado Corradi. Chelsea were at least winning FA Cup and Uefa Cup and getting in the top four. It seemed a natural progression like if Spurs were hit with that type of cash injection now, I wouldn't be mad because they've always aimed to be at that level anyway.
  13. Colback was awful today. Needs to benched against Arsenal. Wijnaldum was excellent. He's very skillful on the ball Favorite moment was Perez's disguise pass to Haidara on the overlap. No clue how he pulled it off.
  14. Man City are the bin man that won the lottery. Chelsea are the rich kid who went to a top private school, fucked up his grades because he was thick as fuck but ended up CEO of a company anyway because his dad pulled some strings. It's easier to stomach with Chelsea. When you're walking around the streets of NYC and you see City tops, it's really pathetic and I'll never get over it. Chelsea under Jose are deplorable though.
  15. They were still an excellent side. Much better than Chelsea and they should have won. messi missed a penalty, Busquets had an open goal in the first leg, they hit the post about five times over the two legs. Plus half the team went on to win Euro 2012.
  16. I'm shocked some of you celebrated Man City goals. At least Chelsea were winning stuff before they got all the money. - Drogba getting sent off in the 08 final - Drogba getting sent off after the game in 09 - AVB coming in a dropping all the older Chelsea players and losing 3-1 to Napoli - RDM coming in and beating Napoli in extra time to take them to the QF - Hell, even th Benfica game I thought they were lucky to scrape through - the semi final was unbeleivable. That Barcelona team IMO was the best ever. They were so dominant yet Chelsea won the first leg and Barca had like 10 shots on goal. - Second leg at the Nou Camp 2-0 down, lose your most experienced player to a childish sending off, then score through a player who would be suspended for the final right before half time. Then second half, Drogba gives away a pen and who steps up? The best player in the world WHO MISSES! cech was great that game, remember him pushing one on to the post from Messi soon after. Torres who was shit all season comes on to make it 2-2 with 10 men in the Camp Nou against the greatest team in the world - the final was in Bayern's own stadium, they played better, they score through Muller and with Drogba's only chance, he puts it away just like he always does in finals. Then in ET he gives away another pen and again it's missed by Robben. Even in The penalty shootout they came from behind. mata missed the first kick. Then Bastian steps up and you're thinking "he's gonna bury this" and Cech saves it! Then with Drogba's last ever kick he wins the Champions League for Chelsea. Not to mention Terry, Ivanovic and Ramires were suspended for the final. To me that'll never be topped.
  17. That's gotta be the reason. But in saying that I'm sure that's why Ayoze doesn't use Perez on his shirt. No one had an issue with Ayoze or Jonas
  18. It's cause he's black isn't it?
  19. Wouldn't that be a hassle, though? You'd have to change so many documents like passports, tax stuff, I'm sure a lot more being a footballer. Easier to just have the name you'd like to have on the back of your shirt than do all that. Nitpicking tbh. Bet no one gets angry about Xavi having Xavi when that's not his name. How about Sergio for Busquets? Nah cause they're "good" and can get away with whatever.
  20. Some random ones in here. Solano vs Everton - He was unplayable that day. Was so happy to have him back. Solano vs Arsenal 06 Robert vs. Fulham. Went nuts when that went in. Martins vs Spurs. Was so out of no where. Thought we were done and dusted. Shearer vs. Spurs in the cup. What a way to put us in the final. Thought it was destiny at the time. Ben Arfa vs Everton - I had been keeping up with the Ben Arfa thread all summer and was expecting a superstar. He was everything everyone said he would be. Ben Arfa vs. Arsenal - Short lived but I thought we were going to win that game and come 4th. Was in the middle of updating my Facebook status when Arsenal scored. Ben Arfa vs Bolton - Best goal I've ever seen. Cisse vs Chelsea 2012 Celebrated the first one more than the second. I kinda expected the second one to go in after all the other stuff he'd been doing. Non Newcastle - Drogba vs Bayern. What a way to win the CL. It was like a movie.
  21. Although I would have liked to have seen him get a second chance under the new management, I'm not too bothered about him leaving. I just didn't see enough from the guy to think he could be a star here. Perez is younger and still was able to perform under Pardew.
