.cock NEWCASTLE United midfielder Emre is set to miss Monday's trip to Derby County after picking up an injury during Turkey's 3-0 win over Hungary. The Magpies playmaker injured his thigh against Barnsley in the Carling Cup two weeks ago and sat out of the 1-0 win over Wigan before declaring himself fit to join up with his national side last week. BUt Sam Allardyce told Newcastle World TV on Thursday that the 27-year-old was a major doubt for the game at Pride Park having phoned from Turkey to say he was injured. "Emre came off in the game on Wednesday and has phoned to say he has picked up an injury," said the United boss. Toonbid "That's a big disappointment because we had only just got him fit before he went off to play for Turkey. "He played against Barnsley and could not complete that game and was then unfit for Wigan. "It's bitterly disappointing that he got injured for Turkey but there's nothing we can do about it. "The good news is that everyone else has come through without any injuries but obviously there is some fatigue which will have to weigh-up over the next couple of days before picking the strongest side for Barnsley." ----------- Sam we're playing Derby, mate Also noticed today he congratulated Mickey on his goals against Russia, Israel, Barnsley and Newcastle on his SSN interview

The turkish team stayed at my hotel in Malta. Saw Emre and Tuncay strolling down the harbour like a gay couple.

Always thought we should get club shops put in the airport/central station. Seems a bit daft that the two places in the city that the most people enter/leave through don't have anything club shop related, and then we have two shops within 100 yards of each other in town.
-
Emre didn't have a goal ruled out from where I was sitting, the ball quite clearly missed the net. He played well, dominated the midfield and was easily the best player on display. Tuncay had a shitter as well. Ive got tonnes of pics i'll hoy them up when i get back. Malta did a lap of honour at the end. Quality day out.

Ticket and programme cost me 4 quid together. Setting off soon Howay the Emre and Malta!

Greetings from sunny Malta. Think im off to see zog play here on wednesday, i'll let you know how he gets on

No offence, but that post is fucking ridiculous. a) Newcastle and England - It's not a case of one or the other. You don't have to hate England because you support Newcastle b) Now there is a slight chance i'm wrong, but i'm 99.9% certain that if England won the world cup you'd have flags up in your window and be out partying with the rest of the nation. So why do you hate the country that you are from?
-
Hopefully with him and Enrique, Beye and Milner we can become deadly down the flanks. Good news.
-
Exactly. Sadly many academies now think like this, including our own. Don't think that's 100% accurate with our academy. Aye, we have a few speed demons like Godsmark Troisi etc. But the likes of Doninger, Frank the Danq etc are clearly in the team for their skills and not their pace.

Think it was the first season up in the prem. Not 100% sure though.
-
Probably be mentioned as an overwhelming proportion in relation to the point about the track, can't see why not. Brilliant. Cheers

Just out of interest mods, will the results of this poll be presented to the club when they interact with Newcastle Online? or is it just a general poll for the site?
-
Spot on. Cheers for your input

80% to 20%. The majority have spoken.
