PAUL Huntington has left Newcastle United to sign for Leeds United for an undisclosed fee.
The Cumbrian-born central defender, 19, featured 11 times for the Magpies at senior level. His highlight came last season with a goal at White Hart Lane in a 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Paul played for Newcastle Reserves on Wednesday night in a 2-2 draw against Sunderland, when Leeds boss Denis Wise and assistant Gus Poyet were in the crowd at the Stadium of Light.
His first mission at Elland Road will be to help the West Yorkshire club climb off the bottom of the League One table where they are currently anchored on minus six points.
