  1. Libellous? What a terrible claim to make. I can see the headlines now: "Manchester United Football Club employee at official Manchester United Football Club Party SHOCKER!!!!!!"
  2. 99% of the time these come to nothing, unless you play for Harchester United.
  3. MAGPIES boss Sam Allardyce has insisted that he is not poised to make a move for Ipswich striker Jonathan Walters. The 24-year-old was under Big Sam's stewardship at Bolton and has been linked with a January switch to Tyneside in recent days. But the Toon gaffer says that the nine-goal frontman is not a player he is interested in bringing to United. "I had Jonathan with me at Bolton Wanderers and I'm delighted that he's doing so well with Ipswich, but he's not someone I'm looking to bring here," said Allardyce. While Sam added that 17-year-old Hungarian defender Tamas Kadar of Zalaegerszeg Torna Egylet is a player who is "not on his radar" at present.
  4. Good post, pretty much how I feel. shame you disagreed with me and kicked up such a fuss when I said exactly the same thing. My reply was in agreement with his opinion on Allardyce at this point in time, clearly. Clearly not, I quoted the post perfectly correctly. I'll try to break down my post to stop people getting confused in future, thanks for pointing it out and I hope it hasn't caused any confusion on your part. No confusion at all. Clearly there was as you thought I had meant something that I didn't, mainly because I didn't break down the post properly. Anything else you notice that doesn't seem right feel free to point out and I'll go about putting it right. No. There is no misunderstanding at all, you referred specifically to the whole post. Including the comments about Allardyce, who you backed for the job. Anyway. I'm wasting enough time with you, I don't need you to clarify anything. Just go to bed you crazy old man. Mind you, seeing NUFC play 100 times at 27 is pretty good going Who's seen the toon only 100 times at 27 like NE5?
  5. There's some guy who obviously doesn't know he's near the mic taking the piss out of half the questions
  6. Played well first half, especially first 30 mins. Poor and scrappy second half but overall I think we shaded the match. Can't recall our defence being under any significant pressure all day, which is impressive. People mocking this win should remember that Fulham, although they're shite away, are no mugs at Craven Cottage. Delighted with the result. 7 points from the last 9 has been a good effort all round considering the pressure we were under. Let's have another 6 from Derby and Wigan.
  7. TBH Anyone who knows anything about football doesn't listen to him anyway.

  9. Article on .cock indicates he thinks Milner and Zog in tandem down a wing is doing us the world of good.
  10. you expect wonders from a combined £2m? Regular international for the Czech Republic and the skipper of a team that's played in the champions league regularly for a decade tbh. Personally I think Roz is a good defender, let down by his distribution. I think Cacapa is a very good defender, lacking in confidence after Pompey. How do you know he's lacking in confidence, he hasn't played since 'Think' being the key word, or couldn't you see that?

  12. Laurent Robert has been released by employer Levante after a long dispute. The former Newcastle star and Portsmouth player joined the Spanish club last term and only appeared 13 times. The Frenchman was not part of his club’s plans this season and did not train with the squad and did not play competitive football with Levante. The midfielder was urged to find a new club but his high wage demands made his move impossible. The Reunion Island-born star trained with former club Montpellier and had a trial period with Marseille, but remained under contract until Thursday. Levante have announced on their official website that the player has been released and is allowed to join another club on a free transfer. Robert wanted to be paid all his wages before leaving, and it is believed the Frenchman has been offered half. His future certainly lies in Ligue 1 or Ligue 2.
  13. Capello > Lippi easily for me. He's one of the best managers around and i'd be delighted if he was appointed.
  14. Whatever Ashley does with his own money is up to him. The club's money is different.
  15. Maybe it would have been the decent thing for someone, say, an administrator like yourself, to tell me that it was already being arranged? Rather than me waste my time. Although that's probably me expecting too much.
  16. Olivers view: NEWCASTLE United have decided NOT to go to Barcelona and sign their central defender Edmilson in the January transfer window. Edmilson But Sam Allardyce admitted today that he still hopes to bring the Brazilian international defender, who can also operate as a holding midfield player, to St James’s Park when his contract at the Nou Camp expires at the end of the season. And I get the impression that Big Sam likes the idea of linking Edmilson with fellow Brazilian international Claudio Capaca in his back four at United. The Chronicle revealed on June 28 that the 31-year-old Edmilson was a United target, even though he had been laid low with a bad knee injury which saw him go under the surgeon’s knife in Barcelona. Indeed, within 24 hours of our revelation, Allardyce and his UK and Europe scouting co-coordinator Paul Montgomery both went out to Barcelona and met Edmilson, his wife and agent. But the man who is tipped to be Brazil’s captain in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa has still not returned to the Barcelona first- team picture as his injury has taken longer to heal than expected. Allardyce’s policy on transfers has always been to keep his cards close to his chest until the deals are all done and dusted, but he is aware of talk saying that Edmilson is a January transfer target for him. And in an exclusive interview with The Chronicle he told me today: “I am afraid Edmilson is now not an option for us in January. “He has not played at all this season and it would be too much of a risk to bring him here next month. But I will be certainly interested in going for him in the summer.” Allardyce has received criticism from some quarters for the way United play and the idea of two Samba-style Brazilians in his side seems to appeal to him. In fact he adds: “Yes. From what I can gather Claudio Cacapa and Edmilson are big mates and would like to play together in the same side.” Allardyce knows that he will have competition for Edmilson once he is fit, none more so than from European top dogs AC Milan. But my information is that the 31-year-old was impressed that Allardyce and Montgomery took the trouble to go out to Spain and talk to him and that he would not be against a move to St James’s Park. Speaking from Brazil Edmilson says: “I am training hard to get physically fit and will be until the end of my contract. This will be my last season at Barcelona.” Meanwhile, with the opening of the January transfer deadline rapidly approaching, Allardyce accepts that United are going to be linked with some weird and not so wonderful players. At the weekend both FC Copenhagen defender Brede Hangeland and Steaua Bucharest centre-half Dorian Goian were said to be on their way to Tyneside in January. But big Sam insists: “Hangeland is not on our radar and, while I had a look at Goian in the summer, he is not for us.”
