This game reeks of apathy! Four pages for a pre-match thread which kicks off in five hours, unheard of.

Just came back a few days ago from another week in the capital, and it confrimed my opinion that people daaan saaaaf', and in London, are rude as fuck. Much more so than in the north, or Newcastle in general. Even wor lass is fucking rude, so I'm teaching her Geordie etiquette.

I think Harry (who I like, incidentally) has a bit of a chip on his shoulder about not having been given a crack at a big job - witness his comments about the England position which kind of showed this. This is his chance. FWIW I also think he's gone as far as he can with Portsmouth. Not just in football man. There are plans to scan all kids in secondary schools, basicaslly as mandatory as the TB injection. Basic heart trace would do. I had one about 3 years ago, when I was 18/19. Took about 15 minutes, max. I would be very surprised if that didn't already form part of a footballer's medical. Other sports though have mandatory and extensive tests for every participant that take place before every event, and have a huge team of independent medical experts who can stopsportsmen from competing if they fail these tests. This would also allow for better drug testing. Footballers should have independent medicals every month in my opinion, bringing it into line with other intensive sports. This is still very rare. If it wasn't a footballer, you wouldn't know about it.

Have to say, I thought Faye was exceptional. Height and power in the midfield, something we've been crying out for a long time now. He was absolutely paggered by the 75th minute and looked knackered twice, but still managed to finish the game. He was quality. Bolton fans often said he was their best midfielder as well as their best defender, which is a predicament for us too (not saying he's our best midfielder btw, but he clearly offers a lot there). Cacapa was quality again, but Taylor is still too error-prone. How can you say that when Cacapa let his marker slowly walk around him and score?
