Those comments from Pardew were relating to the press conference the other day not the the most recent quotes about the price of the release clause so i think we may have a bit more anger towards him now. Even so, to think Redknapp was "tripped up" is very naive.

The most annoying thing about this is that Ba seemed to be the least of our worries going into January. The way he was playing his value must have been around £20m atleast but we all knew no one would pay that with his dodgy knee so he was safe. Now this. FUCK!

There must be something preventing him from being able to join spurs because this just reeks of sour grapes if it is in fact true. There would be no sense in him telling anyone else that may not be aware of the clause if he wanted him for spurs. When is Alan's next press conference? Friday?

I just don't get how we would have agreed something so low considering Pardew was raving about him when he signed him and made everyone know it was through his contacts and how much he rates him etc. Plus if his knee was really that bad then we would just give him away rather than need to have a release clause on there. Something doesn't add up or he's simply got the best agents in the game. I knew it watching that man united game and him playing so well, just had a feeling everyone was going to come after him and now it seems literally everyone in the top leagues could now afford him if they wanted to.

You see, this is what bugs me about Foy. You could see why he showed a red - although I think he was wrong - but he seems to be influenced by outside factors too much.
