You're the one manufacturing ammunition against Pardew. Comparing the patience afforded to Ba and Ben Arfa really is scraping the barrel, even for you. Not sure if i missed the point you were making but i think Ben Arfa should be given alot of patience aswell due to his record in france, the fact,like Ba he is a pardew signing according to the man himself and he had 12 months out with a broken leg. He had 3 starts against 3 of the likely top 4 and showed glimpses of real ability but could not sustain it for a full game understandably. This isn't directed at you as i know you have said you want to see him on the wing as well but when compared with the performances of Obertan it would take a stubborn person to argue he is more of an asset to the team than Hatem.

Because if he doesn't it means that even if he is playing well he will be dropped for all the games against the "physical sides" which will just kill any form he may have from the previous game and just piss him off. I think there is something in Obertan potentially but he would be far more useful as an impact player and hasn't earned the right to be first team.

I think what annoys me is that i have seen him at times look absolutely rapid. So when he has the ball on the wing against a defender who was raped by Walcott's pace only recently and decides not to try and go past him, then that is just so infuriating to watch. Ben Arfa does not have the sprint speed of Obertan but you know for a fact he would have taken on the defender as would sammy.

Absolutely no need for Smith to be in the team. Our younger players all have more ability and i rate vuckic higher than gosling anyway.

Best has been back in the squad for 2 weeks and hasnt had a kick despite being very important in how we were playing in the unbeaten run. Ben Arfa has one quiet 45 mins against chelsea and doesnt get a look in now either. Santon proved today that he should have been playing alot sooner than today so i think we are all justified in saying he is getting things wrong. Obertan should not be first choice. Sammy did more in 10 mins than he did in 80

if santon is injured now aswell then the forces really are against us at the moment
