8 goals in 16 games for Juve. Think he will be an upgrade on Solanke and Richarlison for Spurs. Be interesting to see what the fee will be even if it's loan with obligation. Only 26 aswell.
-
Don't think so. Don't think he would be guaranteed starter here either plus sounds like it's a straight loan he wanted and we only loan when we can sign them at the end of it.
-
Don't rate him? Did alright on loan at Juve no?
-
Shame. Think he will do well.
-
I think because the fee was rumoured £25m-30m early in the summer. The increase feels extortionate. However given the choice I think his attributes are far more suited to what we need than JSL at a similar price.
-
Shouldnt annoy me but it always does. The little gimps like Jacobs constantly downplaying fees when it's people like Liverpool. "It's only £125m with no add ons" But then with us it's always the full max price like it's "£55m for Wissa" even though it's probably £50m with difficult to achieve add ons etc.
-
He'll have a couple of good games but then will fade like he did at Chelsea. Certainly not worth paying 80% of his extortionate wages.
-
No guarantees he will score the same amount. Moving to a new team, even in the same league can be difficult, learning to fit into a new system, pressures of playing for a team pushing for CL etc. just look how it didn't work for Wood here but he's flourishing now at Forest. Add in that he will take a while to get up to speed with no pre-season, away for a few games with AFCON and that he will be regularly rotated with Woltemade. I'd say 10+ goals would be a more realistic target.
-
What's happened to him? Feel like I haven't seen him play or score since hitting that impressive hattrick against us last season.
-
I think if they want to eliminate any negativity over the the Isak sale then I think they need Wissa +1 more. If we got a highly rated attacking midfielder or something in aswell I think the mood would be way more positive.
-
What's his injury record like? I seem to remember until last year he was often out with something or other no? Or was he just a bit part player until last year.
-
Would like another midfielder, ideally a CAM with Willock going out. But not gonna happen so won't get hopes up.
-
Does also give us the option to play Woltemade off him which could be interesting and might help relieve that lack of a creative midfielder and let Bruno and Tonali sit deeper to cover. However not sure if we would want to be starting them together regularly as that defeats the point of depth really as we wouldn't have a sub option or rotation option other than Osula.
-
Mad fee but what options do we have left. But if you add the premium we have paid on Wissa to the loss in valuation we made on Isak were looked at about £50m extra cost to the clubs because of Isak's behaviour.

Martinez despite being a massive twat has been consistently one of the best keepers in the world for awhile now. It fixes their keeper issue. Will fit in well there with his twatty antics though. Villa and us have been shafted this summer.

0% is strong. They obviously didn't get that impression when they met with him. However that was the game right there. Who would blink first. We should have held firm and waited it out and said ok the window is closed now what do you want to do Alex? I think that's where Eddie has probably come in and given his opinion and I think it was clear he was done with the scumbag and wanted him gone even if we had to make a loss on our price.

I agree and that's us fans talking. But these are business men ultimately and they don't want to lose out on a high value asset. So they took a choice to sell for less than maximum but still securing in their eyes decent money. It's annoying as fuck but inevitable I suppose . Problem is they were naive and could have still cashed in later in Jan or next summer. Taking this option has fucked us short-term and long-term for multiple reasons now.

Isak held a metaphorical PSR gun to our head by allegedly refusing to play. I'd have loved it if we could have proved it to report them for illegal tapping up and go all Marinakis on them. But clearly we weren't willing to match them and go nuclear the other way. All leads back to perhaps there always was an agreement and or we wanted the money more than fans had been led to believe.
-
You didn't. It was Sorloth but even that seems to have calmed down as he was playing for them the other day.

Please don't get injured on international duty

Swear to Christ if I hear the words "powder dry" im going on a rampage.

I think fans will definitely start to turn on PIF rightly or wrongly if we come out of tomorrow with nothing. Will be the first murmurs, banners or what have you of negativity towards them I think. Fans are right to be upset with how this whole thing has been handled.
-
Considering it was Edwards that got the exclusive and also was him saying we were happy to sell even if we don't get a replacement, has me extremely fucking worried. It's like the Carroll + Kuqi episode all over again but on steroids.

This was always my thinking too. How many number 9's out there are better than him when he's in form? Haaland? Mbappe? Now ask their clubs if they would let them go at peak age and with 3 years left on their deal for £125m to a league rival who you basically have guaranteed will now go on to win even more titles because of it. Would be laughed out the building even if the player was threatening to not play. I just don't get how that player power has been allowed to engineer us to have to sell one of the best players in the world for way less than his value to us is. It's so depressing.
