  1. Too much of our attacking play was running through Tino, which unfortunately isn't his strength. Thought Tonali tried hard and was constantly trying to get on the ball and get us moving. Botman aswell looked solid in the early stages. Pope had a good game. Nothing much to do but was rock solid at collecting corners and stood big when they had their one shot on goal. Ramsey had a couple of bright moments but hopefully not picked up a bad injury. Other than that few positives to take and were pinning alot of hopes on the new fella coming in to improve our attacking play, and we probably miss Gordon's energy on the left while he's suspended. Barnes hasn't got going yet in any of his minutes.
  2. Where did I say "I told you"? I'm not saying my opinion of him is correct or won't be proven wrong as he develops, just that on days like today fans will likely get frustrated with him and so it has proven with other people's posts. He was no worse than anyone else and it was as much to do with how we attacked as a team rather than him individually. He needs space to run in behind and there wasn't any.
  3. So that's 7 points he's probably cost us so far. I know there's other factors ofcourse but if he was there as normal and aying well I think we win all 3 of those games.
  4. Got criticised for saying he's just fast and not much else when we were first linked. Yes he'll come up with the odd moment but I think we will get frustrated with his technique at times, Iike today. Barnes had no impact on the other side either.
  5. Even slower against the counter attack. Hope we don't wait too long to make attacking subs if it stays as it is.
  6. Bruno has been off it in the first half of games so far this season. .would probably feel more comfortable going with Tino up against Gnonto second half and also one of the wingers on to give us a bit more threat.
  7. Yeah we've been bit poor in final third. Looked in control but then seemed to lose that for ten minutes and started to look 2nd best all over. Could do with atleast one of Barnes or Elanga to give us more attacking potency.
  8. Absolutely hate those. The ball is fizzed in, he's getting nowhere near it so his legs collapse under him....penalty
  9. Does seem odd when we are forced into starting Osula not to give him as much attacking support around him. Wait and see how it plays out I suppose. Atleast we have a plan B on the bench which if we started the other way round we maybe wouldn't have so much.
  10. Maybe wants to control the game and keep things tight in the first half while they burn themselves out with enthusiasm and then hit them with Elanga and Barnes fresh legs off the bench.
  11. Dunno what people get out of spreading false negative news. Glad it wasn't true. Feel like we can win with both of them playing.
  12. Wouldn't change much. We are already having to prepare for the possibility he refuses to play the rest of the season anyways.
  13. Glad it wasn't a pen but Burnley look poor here. Can't keep the ball.
  14. That's different. The window would be closed then and you make peace with injuries etc. but while the window is open the dynamics could change based on the events of tomorrow for them.
  15. Why the fuck would we agree a fee now when it's completely possible they could lose to Arsenal tomorrow and Ekitike could pick up a season ending injury. How desperate would they be then to pay whatever we want. Would make zero sense to settle for a lower price now.
  16. Enzo is such a bang average player. Yet they were able to buy him for £120m and it be no big deal. Not to mention the £90m was it on Mudyrk.
  17. You get all the value of a sale in one go and can spread any outlay over duration of contracts (normally 5 years) so not quite. If we buckle and sell for less than £150m though and I'll feel we've been had.
  18. Were by far the better team Fulham. Scored a lovely goal and go in 1:0 down. Feel for them after last week's nonsense aswell. Really does have that feeling already this season of any goal against the cartel clubs they will find something to disallow.
  19. However Eddie did seem much happier in his press conference. I know we had just signed a striker but I can't imagine he would have been that chipper knowing half his line up was missing for Leeds. Gone from having 4 strong wing options down to just Murphy if true.
