How is he ever suppose to succeed in some people’s eyes when they have dogshit takes like this? Not that him not wanting a ton of new players is a “mitigating circumstance” but what manager have you ever heard/seen that has even wished for a complete squad overhaul, let alone gotten it? The summer is going to be super interesting, not least of which is because the worlds biggest football tournament happens during this one.

I don’t disagree out of hand or anything, but I feel like six starters is a pretty hard mix to get right no matter who the manager is.

I mean it’s pretty easy to figure out. He doesn’t have full say on what happens this summer. There’s a whole team now and it’ll be their call. And as always there are hundred of mitigating circumstances, even more so during a WC summer. Also six first team players is too many if you ask me.
