Please turn up and win. Any way. Just win. HTL -
Intensity was our identity. Bound to look lost without our identity. Not sure what we are transitioning into. Hope we start to see it sooner rather than later. Plenty of games to go HTL.

She did and she’s sorely missed!

Plus LB/CM with technical ability.

And that vision didn’t fully appreciate all the red tape and hand cuffs that would be put in place to scupper our meteoric rise

He played LM for Chelsea didn’t he? Could be so good in that role.

“Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher's brutal analysis nailed problem that is blighting Newcastle United” “I think 18 months ago Anthony Gordon was looking as good as any left winger in the Premier League at that stage,” said Carragher. “It just hasn’t seemed to happen for him in terms of kicking on to the next level where he becomes Newcastle’s best player, becomes arguably one of the best players in the Premier League. “He was very close to moving on to Liverpool when Newcastle had PSR issues. Whether that affected him as I know he’s a Liverpool fan even though he came through at Everton, but he’s never quite got to those heights. “There’s definitely a really special player in there. But consistency is the biggest key.” Keane chimed in to agree, adding: “If you’re playing for one of the big clubs you’ve got to be consistent. Sometimes players like that are no good to you - you’ve got to turn up week in, week out.” “That’s the sign that you want to be a great player. He’s a talented player - I am having a go at him but I like him. You talk about the stats, when he’s running off people and putting balls in like we’ve seen then fantastic. “When they don’t turn up week in, week out, that must be so frustrating for the manager, the supporters, the teammates and the player himself. Consistency is key if he wants to go on to the next level.” Gary Neville was very critical also, saying throughout his commentary that Gordon was ‘too wide and too deep, not in a position to impact the game’. He added: “If I was a right-back I’d be very happy.” It felt slightly unfair on Gordon. He may not have had his best game but the winger was trying to make an impact, dropping deep and coming off his flank as he attempted to create an opportunity for the Magpies. He looked hungry, full of energy and desire and Eddie Howe praised his performance afterwards. However, Keane and Carragher were certainly right in their analysis. Gordon's consistency has blighted his - and Newcastle's - season thus far. He could (should) have” scored a couple at Old Trafford and should be scoring and contributing more each season. His form, perhaps, is also an indication of Newcastle's inconsistencies too. David Hopkinson wants the club to be one of the best in Europe by 2030. They already have a player in their ranks with the ability to be a truly world-class winger.”

Hopefully a few new faces in January and that may give us a clue as to what the game plan is. LB/CM/ST for me, all with technical ability.
