We're still hoofing it a lot, let's not fool ourselves. We're playing long balls to running players, far different from panicking and kicking long aimlessly every time you get the ball, which is what we did against both West Ham and Southampton. If you can't see a huge difference between this game and those two as far as passing goes then.. well I don't really know what to tell you. It's better, but doesn't really fill me with confidence. Where are the goals gonna come from? Our expectations have been seriously lowered if this is judged decent.

Sure he's just taking the p*ss now That's not very ethical correct.

Well looks like we have a 0-0 snooze-fest coming with people betting on both Stoke and Newcastle.
-
Not enough bets on Stoke. Get on it people!

If you bet on Tie (Parma -1) you bet on the match finishing in a victory for Parma receiving the chosen deficit (-1). But they basically can't win with more than that margin. Say they win 2-0, you win because you chose -1. So in your bet they virtually win by a 1 goal margin.

Winning at any cost is sadly the most important part of the game for a lot of managers. It will however not work for the eternity of time, and opposition quickly figure them out, making it easier to counter their inevitable "plan". Of course fans want 3 points, but imo wins like vs WBA means very little in the big picture. It's not perceived legitimate.

I can understand people saying it's a bit extreme wanting Pardew sacked this early after what he did last season. But at the same time, it's a bit extreme calling it a joke, offering paper thin arguments and overlooking what's happening at the moment. We're getting dominated by newly promoted sides, offering nothing. And there are no signs of it turning around. Not even an acknowledgement of the situation, or at least an attempt to pursue the problems and fix them. See "excuses". I'm basically in the "I wouldn't mind if he got sacked"-brigade. The football atm is unbearable.

In an ideal world : Hire an attacking coach and a possession-based coach. Basically have one coach for each part of the game and overlap them into a structured game plan. Bring in a right back, two center backs, 1 box-to-box midfielder and a striker who works in general play (not just a finisher). At least we should look to bring in Debuchy, Mbiwa and Sissoko. Mainly to shift Simpson and Williamson out of the side and entertain the possibility of controlling the game in midfield, offer threats from midfield and utilizing Cabaye and Tiote better. We have to play with a 3 man-midfield to be able to compete in games and get some movement in the team. It's very basic stuff, but it wont happen, and I'm not sure why. It's so annoying our manager focuses on all the wrong areas of the game. It's out of date and we're figured out. It doesn't help our players look disinterested and utterly clueless executing the simplest moves, passes and ability to function as a team. I don't see how we're gonna beat teams these days.
