  1. i think i get what ur saying (could'v been better phrased.. or maybe i didnt have a gd enough sleep last night) i do believe that ppl are giving him a hard time tho, already doubting his ability, his age, and dissmising him as a squad player before he's even kicked a ball. i say that we give him a chance 2 settle in.. n if hes another bramble-> then u can have a go at him. ppl who r saying he is 'total class' need 2 wait until he's played a bit in the premiership tbh. i dont think its "as bad" as giving him stick tho.. rather be encouraged than doubted
  2. bloody hell.. he hasnt even stepped on the pitch yet and some of u r already giving him stick. i get the feeling that these r the same ppl who complained when we wernt signing any defenders. lets get this sorted: 1) hes a defender 2) experienced in champ league 3) captained his club for 5 years i 4 one am not going 2 go out n say that hes going 2 be immense.. im just saying tht, looking at his credentials, it would be wise 4 every1 to wait until the lad's played before dissmissing him.
  3. exactly.. why would a player want 2 come 2 a side that is tipped 2 be relegated. i'd make an excuse like that too. probably a misunderstanding.. player x probably said "sunderland is crap" and keano thought he was talking about the place itself... which is also crap
  4. TBF, we were gash last season, while we have changed for the better (fingers crossed) Bolton have stood still/gone backwards. yeah but when he said poor he was referring 2 the side that scored the "stupid goals''.. meaning he was talking about our present side.. sour grapes iyam
  5. not going 2 show his face in a while

    Kieron Dyer

im guessing im the only one that thinks Dyer could flourish under big sam.. seems 2 me that the dyer-newcastle connection is very similar to the citeh-barton connection, in that the team that had him wanted him out cos he's bastard and the team that were buying wanted him cos of their actual abilities.. that said tho.. i hope we use the money 2 buy a creative, pacey player whic dyer, on his day, was.
  7. On the bolton chronicle.. one lad's view about faye leaving: "If he goes, we need to make sure the money is spent (plus a bit more) on a decent defender, someone that will stop us conceding stupid goals against poor sides like nufc. " slightly offensive tbh..
  8. can faye play right-back? he's got decent speed, can play in defence and is originally a midfieldr- so right-back might not be too far a stretch. he converted him from centre-mid 2 centre-back, perhaps sam'll just move him 2 the right. a bit unorthadox but its not such a big deal when u consider that many centre-backs can double-up as rightbacks.. i only fear that big sam rates carr too highly ( lets face it.. hes hasnt been as diabolical as ever under BSA)
  9. id happily acccept 24 million for our best right back..
  10. remember saying at the start of the summer that we should buy alves... (looks like we would have stood no chance) but FFS!! 24 million quid is just ridiculous. iv seen the lad play many times and yes he's a dcent player but jesus wept! 12 million i wouldv said MAX.. prices are getting out of hand these days. bloody hell
  11. 47......................still think it's good news ?
  12. hahaha how pissed off will all those pundits be? saying spurs'll be 4th.. bloody overrated bastrds.. to quote myself: "bent is shyt"... how good does arteta look though.. he'd never come here tho
  13. imo spurs are the most overrated team in english football. hopefully a draw so no team has an advantage
  14. consistency is the key.. if we can beat the smaller teams week in week out then who knows.. 4th n 5th bit of a stretch imo

    Is Shay Okay?

i knew buying barton was a bad idea
  16. all of this because of a 3-1 win at bolton... wat if it turns out that bolton is just plain crap under lee, i mean they havnt exactly imposed themselves in the transfer market have they. agree.. high expectations that go unfulfilled can spell disaster for a manager.
  17. phew.. had me worried for a second. thanks for that. but seriously who do u reckon we'll sign hehe, i think we will sign a right back playing in france currently. who do you think we will get? france, that narrows it down.. seems everyone is buying from france atm.. nah iv no idea.. i thought we'd have definitely signed baines at the start of the summer.. and ben haim..clearly i was wrong
  18. phew.. had me worried for a second. thanks for that. but seriously who do u reckon we'll sign
