This is also why you shouldn't grab a player in their own half to get booked for no reason.
-
His right foot gets touched. You can't send him off.
-
Appreciate the "United" clarification.
-
Would have been better if Barnes didn't touch it. He can't do anything right these days.
-
Such needless bookings for two midfielders now.
-
Says a lot about the state of the game when a well rested Manchester United team in the league's best form since Christmas feels like they need to waste time at nil-nil against a ragged NUFC.
-
A difficult but spectacular ball from Joe to Gordon was on there.
-
We'd be so good if we could consistently string together three passes.
-
Elanga, please find a touch. My goodness.
-
Thank you VAR for acknowledging that Luke Shaw is a hobbit compared to BDB.
-
If this goes as much of the season has we'll lose this 2-1 and rue the fact we didn't score in the first 15.
-
Sounds pretty great to me.

The odds of this with fake Bruno to Mbuemo/Cunha counters seems so slim.

Also, people are making the same mistake with Spurs that they did with Man United a year ago. They don't have the same brand and history Man United have, but it wouldn't take much for them to be competing back in the top 6 regularly. And it can happen quickly. For those that want a new manager, how would you feel about new Tottenham manager Eddie Howe? How do you think he would do?
-
I'd happily never reference the Ashley years again if everyone could agree that our manager has, in total, overachieved relative to investment and that metrics like "net spend in his tenure" should never be uttered again.
-
It would be funny, but Villa or Chelsea missing out is more useful.
-
And some of the Twitter idiots use the "well if we want to be #1 by 2030..." as justification for why Eddie should be sacked ASAP.
-
Agree, but so many issues and forks in the road to unpack with that. We took PSR to the brink and then had to sit out three straight windows. You can blame PSR or you can blame our strategy, which then leads to the very unsatisfactory debate of who should we not have bought in the summer of 2023? You could argue that Ashworth's idea of selling Joelinton was the right call and no doubt we'd be feeling better if Anderson/Minteh were in the team, but do we win the trophy? Are we in the Champions League right now? We chose to continually add players to the existing core for years. It's hard to argue it didn't pay off, but we're now facing the need for a big reset. And we made it worse by having the summer we just had.
-
I think this is probably true, but if we've let Hall leave the building then I would guess it's all gone wrong.
-
The fact that the players we missed out on are, for the most part, quality gives me hope that the biggest issues last summer were deal making and desperation.
-
No one thought so a few months ago, but he’s a big upgrade on Willock. It’s the type of technical step forward we need to take across a number of positions.

If we sack Eddie and gift him to Spurs then I think this would be very possible.
