Not sure about the proper shit part, but yes. But they sold another young player and the manager wants replacements in. Seems reasonable - as someone else said hopefully their board says fuck off to the manager.
-
Don't think they've started that badly to be honest. You can toss out the 4-0 loss to Man Utd because a) Man Utd appear to be quite good b) three of the goals came in a five minute stretch at the end. The other results are a goalless draw away to Southampton and a 2-0 away win against an admittedly terrible Palace team. They also won their cup game 4-1. I think we'd all be pretty happy if we had that start.

And he wants to go to Liverpool where they have Henderson, Can, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Coutinho or Lemar, and Keita coming next season. Sorry Ox, but your ceiling is a squad player for a top side.
-
I'm fine with us not getting Origi if their demanding he plays all the time. Fuck that.
-
Surely we could include a clause to recall him if one of our senior keepers gets injured. Iirc long term loans are not allowed to have recall options. Monthly ones can I think. Ok, I'm just going to stop pretending I have a solution to this Bottom line is it seems like a huge mistake if he spends this season as our third choice keeper.
-
I'm only leaning this way because of Rafa. Otherwise we all know how this would end.

How about we wait to see what's actually happening and if something goes wrong before deciding who to blame?
-
29. At least Gayle's done the business in our shirt. Point is it's a ridiculous gamble and a million miles from this supposed 'if we can get a proven striker...' theory. You could argue that banking on a player unproven at this level with fitness issues and a lack of trust in his body is an equally ridiculous gamble. But we've known that all summer.

No. "Emergency loans" after the transfer window closes is no longer allowed. That stopped a couple of seasons ago. That's why the last day of the transfer window now goes crazy with loan deals. Then I hope we have a loan set up to trigger on Thursday if we haven't sold Darlow (or if we do sign a keeper).
-
He would need to televise "the decision" with four shirts in front of him - Man City, Chelsea, PSG, and Real Madrid.
-
Just watched his highlights from Saturday. Even better than I remember - forgot he created the first chance for Mitro as well.
-
Yeah, I don't really get that unless we don't think he's anywhere near ready.
-
I'm not sure either of those things can happen anymore. We can still loan him after the window closes, right? Seems an absolute waste to have him sitting as our third choice keeper. Also seems like a good way to make him think about his future elsewhere.
-
Can't judge the Mounie "incident" from a photo. There's nothing in it.
-
Feel like he's going to go on loan when the window closes unless we sell Darlow and he becomes our backup. Otherwise he needs to be playing - can always recall him if there's an injury.
-
This, which is exactly why Liverpool should snap their hands off.
-
Think in this instance it's fair to say the player is an idiot and the FA are a bunch of inconsistent pricks. Also, I must be the only person that doesn't think there's much in the Mounie "stamp." Seemed more a case of he left his feet and Hayden slid underneath.

Training with the England senior squad today:

If he wanted to sell us, he'd probably set a reasonable price, he hasn't done that in the past five years, what makes you think he's suddenly going to do it in the next twelve months? The small hope I have of Ashley selling up has nothing to do with him being reasonable. It's all based on the fact that someone could see the upside in this club and won't blink at £400M+. Get real , if someone offered him £ 400 mill the fat c*** would then want £ 500 mill Maybe, but there is a price. At least I'll keep hoping there is and there's a buyer out there somewhere. The alternative is too grim to consider.

From Douglas:

In another sign that the local journos don't know that much, Tagliafico's agent has confirmed we've been in discussions. It's hit a snag... Can't decipher if it's complex because of us (standard) or because of England and something to do with a permit.
-
I would sell Coutinho this week for whatever Barca's "best and final" offer is. They will never have that amount offered again.
-
3 out?? Three Loans: Sels, Armstrong, Toney. Eight Gone: Anita, Guoffran, Mbabu, Ameobi, Murphy D., de Jong, Rivière, and Hanley (ish). Quite obviously means in the last week.

Sounds like if we had gotten Abraham we would have been happy to shift Gayle.
