  1. Saw that on Facebook. Didn't realize it was your work. Brilliant.
  2. I had a dream last night that I came on here and there was a thread saying Tim Sherwood had been announced NUFC manager. The funny part is the club never announced that Pardew had been sacked. I'm pretty sure this means he'll be here forever.
  3. Missed almost all of the game today because of the delay and prior plans, but I didn't even care. Checked the score at full time, was mad that the slimy weasel got a win for about 2 minutes, and then forgot about it. Apathy has truly set in. It's hard to care anymore with no end in sight for this shit. Wake me up when he's gone.
  4. Excuses sorted for today... "We wuz concerned fer our safety and it made it difficult for us. The margins were against us from the start."
  5. Fuck me, when you put it like that. This is going to be pathetic.
  6. That's quite obviously not the whole thing.
  7. It's current performance and managing the resources available, but there are still serious issues with that list. This is extremely harsh on Wenger:
  8. That might actually get him sacked. Maybe our only hope at this point.
  9. Of all the things I think this annoys me more than any other. The derbies have been painful, but sometime in the future with a proper manager we can sort those out. MYM is gone forever with barely even a chance. What a fucking waste.
  10. Interesting article (with data) on the decline of home-field advantage in English football... http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/home-field-advantage-english-premier-league/
  11. It's almost a certainty we are going to have less than 20 points on Jan 1. How depressing.
  12. The fixture list is significantly easier for the other 19 teams than it is for us tbf. "We woz relegated because we didn't have the luxury of playing ourselves. That's a big advantage for our competitors."

  14. Didn't realize how far they'd come, including building their own stadium. Quite remarkable. https://sports.vice.com/article/fc-united-of-manchester-the-soccer-team-run-by-the-people-for-the-people
  15. More people backing him than wishing he'd go, in effect. Aye, whatever you say, Alan. Considering the lack of action at the Hull game and the average person's propensity to be nice to a "celebrity/superior" I'd believe it. What I don't believe is that he's gone anywhere in public this week. Unless he's in a disguise. He's a coward.
  16. On the New York Red Bulls (MLS): They probably won't get that much, but it just shows how much of a bargain we are (and a lot of PL clubs really). Someone could have us for the equivalent of probably $450-500 million. That difference would be made up in 2-3 years of TV money. Why the fuck won't someone buy us?
  17. From Grant Wahl's latest column:

  20. She uses lack of evidence/technical issues fairly often. http://m.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/yankees/lip-readers-mouth-a-rod-article-1.223352#bmb=1 http://www.seattleweekly.com/home/937152-129/media I may have contacted the Alan Pardew of the lip reading world.
  21. I just made one last plea for her to do it pro bono, promising her likely promotion in major UK papers and concluding by telling her she'll be my go-to lip reader for future transcription needs. I'll post her contact form when this doesn't work. It worked. Sort of...
  22. I'm all for a relegation battle as long as I can feel good about wanting us to win. Just want that feeling back. Expectations truly lowered.

  24. Replied: It goes on for three more paragraphs, but I basically stopped reading there. I should have been a professional lip reader.
