It absolutely is being used in such a way it seems like. The decisions this weekend have been largely shite in favour of doing just that. That pen today was a disgrace

    Jamaal Lascelles

He needs to up his game a bit like but feel he's also been left a lot more exposed than previous under Benitez. Howe has a very difficult job in establishing an alternative to open, high pressure football half way through a season, he's got to try and implement a plan A and a plan B, we'll get there like, but it's gonna be tough.
  3. Goal music and empty seats, have previously been booing their team off and only sang at 2-0. Yet somehow seen a bigger club than us by the likes of Sounness... Vile.

There's been several this weekend in favour of the teams you'd expect to win. I genuinely think VAR is an absolute waste of time and is actually promoting a mentality of 'gain contact and you'll get anything'. FIFA and the FAs inability to lay down the law and enforce the rules and respect in the game has driven us to this, and actually has fixed nowt.
  5. Nee need to get personal folk. Howay. Shite day at the office. We go again in the week.
  6. For me, it's upto the fans to keep the players' heads up into January. They did that very well today.
  7. My over riding feeling today is that whilst the scoreline is massively deflating, it was someone flattering to Leicester and actually, a defeat isn't that much of a shock, is it? Collectively, understandably, tails were up and there seemed to be a feeling of opportunism after the Europe League and unfit players in the opposition camp, etc. But realistically, I suspect most neutrals would have expected a Leicester win today. I've read through multiple WhatsApp groups and all this "We're down" stuff I cannot really grasp to be honest. Perhaps that's my naivety but for all people say "look at history no other team has stayed up in this position" etc. They're just the stats you choose to follow. We're still 1 win (1 win!) away from safety and have to play 17th at home still. We have a transfer window where we can spend a fortune and we have renewed hope and everyone pulling in the same direction. It'd be absolutely criminal for any element of our club to resign themselves to defeat right now. Today, we played well up until the second goal. The first was never, ever a penalty. Yet, after that we had to open up to get a goal back. In doing so, we were picked apart by a talented Leicester side and one fantastic pass in particular. A lesson to be learned for Howe at 2-0, and after that blunder was cleared, it was perhaps time to say, "okay enough is enough" for today, but in chasing the game the defecit was doubled. We simply aren't good enough at present to go at teams beyond around 8th place. It's interesting tbh, days like today are good examples of why fans saying "I'd rather we went for it and lost 4-0 than sit back and lose 2" or whom criticised the Benitez approach after his departure, are (in my opinion) wrong. There's more than one way to skin a cat and there's times and places to do it. This is no real dig at Howe, only an observation that maybe he needs to learn from today. I'm absolutely convinced we'll still do this to be honest. That pen doesn't happen, that drubbing doesn't happen. We've got this.
  8. I disagree tbh. We're only 3 points adrift, granted that might change in the coming weeks but this is far from over like.
  9. Dubravka has been fairly solid Defence been largely decent and organised Midfield have worked hard and pressed well as have Joelinton and Wilson Their defence look shakey as owt And above all else that is 100% not a penalty.
  10. I'd like to add as well, it doesn't really bring balance to the coverage when two failed NUFC managers are doing the punditry. Sky... Now I remember why I don't subscribe to them.
  11. Newcastle aren't a 'proper' club, like Liverpool, and made the suggestion that we're not a big club because we've won nowt for like 52 years. Despite ignoring the fact that we're still the 9th most successful club in the country, get 52k there weekly and pripr to Ashley had one okf the highest incomes in world football. He seemed to allude to it being because the club couldn't be united, presumably because of the media and fans.
  12. I started off slating Pardz for blaming the Chronicle, etc. But in the end he told Sounness he was talking bollocks and rightly so. Sounness claiming his job at Newcastle was the most difficult. That may well be the case but it wasn't because of fans or pressure. Is he trying to say we are worse than what Galatasaray would be if he was doing shite?!
  13. I'm actually excited for today now me like. The toon are on. Like fuck me. Excited for Leicester away when we're likely to be beaten. Odds against us. Come oot swinging. Cannot even aim to explain (in my semi drunken state) how much these games seem like my footpath back to the normality of supporting my football club are. It's not quite back if I'm honest, not in it's entirety, but it's almost there. I believe Eddie. I believe the players. I believe the owners. I believe the fans. Thingsbare starting to click and we're on the move. Newcastle is on the move. The most fuckong glorious palce on the planet.
  14. We'll fucking smash them. We're on the move. Gods country.
  15. Do see this side if things too. However, if they buy into the manager and his techniques which they seem to have, and also buy into the notion of where this club is going, then I'm sure they'd buy into no Christmas party too.

    St James' Park

100% This. St James' Park, once brought up to date, will be one of the greatest stadiuns in Europe. History, location, architecture (biggest cantilever ceiling in Europe?), and aside from owt else, I don't wanna sit in a half full 80k stadium when the Saudis fuck off.
  17. It's a message to the fans though isn't it, and the players? "We don't accept our position. We will work hard to get out of it. We are better than this." Personally, after 2 years off I couldn't give a shit if they cancel a Christmas party. They get paid well enough and have been underperforming (albeit because of the previous regime). It's time for them to roll their sleeves up and show why they want to be at this version of Newcastle. They can celebrate after each good result or when we stay up in May.
  18. An ideal fixture this. We're in for a tough ride up to the new year and we may need a fixture such as this to help us retain some confidence and kick start some momentum.
  19. We'll pick up surprise wins now, the corner has been turned.
  20. I do think there was gross negligence on his behalf this season like. Also from Mike Ashley too. For him to have that holiday when he did and for the lack of training, that was like saying "Please sack me". The fact he got away with it spoke volumes of Ashley's arrogance, but to be fair to the twat he pulled it out the bag vs the PL to get the deal done, it would seem.
  21. Just trying to find out what we need doing so will DM once I've established it mate.
