  1. Joey fucking Barton. Can't wait for these penalties - Nolan will go absolutely mental if he scores the winning one - I can just see it now.
  2. Xisco isn't up top. You remind me of a Goat in a scuba diving costume.
  3. The introduction of someone like Lovenkrandz or Nolan now would go down a treat.
  4. I would like to know why you are called Cajun. Please do enlighten me with such a potentially moving story. Not really sure tbh. True story. You stun me with your lack of creativity. You are the Nicky Butt of forum banter. Random overhead kick in the middle of the park? Class. I was thinking more Ginger has-been, with poor link up play.

  7. It would be pointless this close to the start of the season to say our strikers aren't good enough. How do you know he isn't pressuring behind the scenes? In my opinion he is keeping the squad close-knit and fighting for one another, as well as for himself. If Ashley doesn't back him, the fans will turn to Fat Mike not Hughton. As far as I'm concerned, keeping a squad of passionate, loyal players is what will keep us up, and Hughton - if he did say the above (about being ok) said totally the right thing. Only time will tell - but I think one thing which will be key (in addition to a squad if players who fight for the shirt) is having an intimidating atmosphere, a fortress of a home ground and 52,000 people backing the team AND the manager. Hughton - to date, has done nothing for us not to believe in him, in my opinion.

    Joey Barton

This twat needs to prove he's the difference between us being a bottom 3 and a bottom 10 team this season.
  9. Your little bite was cute, it made my line wobble a little just enough to reel you in - but I think I'll leave you in the water for now. Until you take a real chomp.
  10. I find defending a lot simpler than being a striker but that is purely because I've always been a defender. I'm sure someone who was a striker all their footballing life would say the opposite. Being a striker is mainly instinctive I would say, but having the footballing knowledge too is what makes you a great striker. See Obafemi Martins vs Michael Owen. Martins never had the footballing knowledge - hence the fact he has never really been world reknowned. Michael Owen however, has. For me defending involves a lot more than merely getting a block in, or stopping the opposition - it involves organising and maintaining cohesion throughout the full set up. That's why the Blues won - because they were cohesive at the back and MKSC supplied the organisation. I was fairly hopeless up front, because I have the footballing knowledge to think this is where I should go to be a neusance - or simply drag them around a lot. So hard work for me was key - because I knew I didn't have the strikers instincts to get myself in 'goal scoring' opportunities all that often. Anyhoo, aye - it's just a case of what you're used to really, innit.
  11. Aye, well, your opinion is wrong, as always, tbf. If you can't understand it that's your problem professor hawking but no-one else seems to have had too many struggles working it out. It's your problem mate, as their is currently no other person designated to shovel up the s**** you constantly talk.
  12. Our club needs us - as a 12th man, especially this season. Instead of being the critics of the past why can't we just unite and believe in the man who got us here? Hughton - rock on fella.
  13. I don't know if it's a mixture of optimism/pessimism and realism, or what - but I think it's time we all 'believed' in our team. Given that they jizzed all over the championship.

  15. As a fairly confident centre half, I would have to disagree with some of your sentiments in all honesty. However, after playing up front for the first time in my life, I do realise the pressure that's on the shoulders of the striker better now. I was shite, I didn't hold up the ball well or score form my chances which did nowt to help the defence out - something I'd normally whinge endlessly about. I'm glad to hear people say I worked hard though because that's the very least recognition I wish to take from anything in life. I guess part of my problem is that I don't take these games as seriously as some - I love my football don't get me wrong but to me these are more fun than a die-hard game. I know people won't like me saying that but tough shit. Anyone should have the chance to play where they are most comfortable in my opinion. I was lucky and spoke up that I wanted to try up front. I'm a centre half, and I should stick to that having tried my final position out. It's something that has to be learned, positional sense, talking, knowing when and why, and that is something I have at CB and nowhere else. I've never been 'talented' but after working very hard to be a fairly okay CB, I can now see how worthwhile the passion and work rate has been.
  16. I think the thread should be closed due to the misleading options. Everyone of us would want to stay up surely, but we can still stay up playing good football, which isn't taken into consideration here. We will stay up playing better football than at least 10 teams in our division I say (in hope).
