  1. For Pardew to have had Marveaux behind Jonas etc all season long is an absolute disgrace
  2. I am worried about obviously our 2 centre backs and also there left side, I would be tempted to switch Ben Arfa to left wing against Flanagan? Kelly? as Jonas would do a better job defensively against Enrique and Downing and would be able to help out Simpson as well as hopefully contributing at other end.
  3. Really struggling at the minute, seems ok when the forwards he is marking are tall and dont have much movement. Does not help when he comes for the ball off Krul and Simpson runs up the pitch with his back to him could do with someone at right back like Santon who would at least show for the ball
  4. Been sitting around since watching live and just waiting for some news, then we hear is in a stable condition
  5. Will be interesting to see if he plays on Sunday, if that injured that could not even attempt to get back then he wont! But he has 'allegedly' been injured before when having a mare and then makes a recovery for the next game
  6. He also forced a mistake out of Heitinga which made it 1-0 against Everton, we won 2-1 so that was worth 2 points as we won instead of drawing. Clutching at straws now, we can mention things about every player this season who has won us points, Taylor is average defensively but offers much much more going forward and from set pieces than Simpson.
  7. I'm sure someone said his last one was his 5th, the only other player I can remember doing it is Ryan Taylor once. Ok fair enough but you cant play him just because of this.
  8. If anyone can make them why is it nearly always him? How many has he made like? I can remember 2 but not sure. I remember his Liverpool attempt
  9. Any one can make goal line clearances, does that mean you should be in the team every week if cant even pass the ball?
  10. I think to say he would never have played professionally is overstating it but he's an incredibly poor footballer in terms of what he can do with the ball at his feet, which is surprising when you consider which academy he came up through, and right to the top of it too. I honestly don't think it is. Like I said in my last post, had he been born in any other decent footballing nation he wouldn't have made it, he'd have been laughed at for his ability on the ball. You can get away with lack of pace, size, whatever you want to name, if you're good on the ball. If you're not, there's nowhere to hide and not a lot you can fall back on. I was at a coaching event a few weeks back with the England U17 manager who gave a presentation on how they are trying to change the footballing philosophy in this country. Whilst listening to him speak, the first player that came into my head that would be redundant if the FA can implement the change in philosophy was Simpson. They want every player on the pitch to be capable of actually playing football. They want the fullbacks to become more attack minded but still be able to defend. They're the two things that related most to Simpson. If he was coming through the ranks in 10-15 years time, again if the FA can get everything into place and develop their ideas properly, he wouldn't stand a chance. On the ball, he's woefully inept. He's s*** scared of the ball being anywhere near him and his distribution is embarrassing. He adds nothing going forward and his crossing is farcical. His control and first touch are poor. It genuinely makes you feel like there's a bomb in the ball when he has it at his feet. You can actually see the panic appear across his face when he's placed under the tiniest bit of pressure. Off the ball he isn't much better either. Everyone knows his backing off is terrible. His positional awareness for someone who's played in that position all of his life is awful. His lack of nous and footballing brain doesn't help his cause either. He just generally doesn't seem to think about what he's doing. Then to top it all off, his attitude stinks. If you make an error or are out of position, fine, it happens, but work your bollocks off to get back into position and make up for it. The amount of time I've seen Simpson just jogging back to get back into position this season has been embarrassing. That's before the constant whinging on the pitch and the pointing and blaming of team mates, even when it's quite clearly his own fault. To fit right in with the current national set up, he's got a massive ego and an overinflated opinion of himself too. Rather than bleating about players who are better than him and for an England call up that is a million miles away, why not try and improve as a player to then actually have a right to clamour for that call up. He does for me sum up what's wrong with football in this country and I'm glad that with a bit of work, a player with his limited ability should become a thing of the past over the next decade or so. I don't think it's that bad wanting a professional footballer to be capable of actually playing football, do you? Spot on, and you highlight everything that is wrong with Simpson, its the blaming others constantly thats my gripe, why not just hold your hand up as everyone makes mistakes!! People seems to think he has pace but half the time he looks like he can hardly run and I sometimes get told off and to 'get off his back at the match' as I get annoyed that after he has crossed a ball or loses it he just jogs back and all the other players who were up that end of the pitch are bombing past him yet he does not seem to have a care in the world. Come sit with me & Ash, we won't tell you to get off his back for being hopelessly s*** haha. I dont mind as much if players with less ability like Perch make mistakes and hold their hands up but keep looking for the ball but I have honestly never seen any other player waving his arms about and blaming others for his mistakes

    Hatem Ben Arfa

They show the bloody Macclesfield players volley about 4 times and cant even show Ben Arfa's properly and now going on about Man U

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Anyone who has not seen it yet wont be disappointed, started just inside their half dribbled in and out of about 5 players, got to the by line after beating the full back and was waiting for him to cross it when he skipped back inside the full back and lashed it into the roof of the net from a tight angle. Defintiely one of the best goals I have ever seen and if Messi scored it would be showing it time and time again.
  14. Why does he always try to flick the ball when its in the air and pull out of tackles? Shocking performance and cant remember 1 pass which actually went to our player
  15. There was no way Bellamy would ever score a free kick from that far out and then that idiot stands in Krul's way!! Once he has done that he has to make sure he blocks the ball and not the bloody goalkeeper. Then the 3rd couple of passes until it gets to Simpson who worries as always and when he sees he cannot pass it back to Krul like he only ever does he just kicks it straight out!!! He did ok for few games after was substituted at home but has gone back to his usual terrible self. Then he has the cheek when makes a mistake to complain to everyone else because they pass him the ball, and say that they practice that all the time as if he did everything right . Some people on here said he never hides?? Watch him in next home match when we have goal kick never wants the ball and sprints up to just over half way line near Obertan Least Taylor can put a decent cross in and can take a free kick
  16. The funny thing is he thinks he is class and should be in. He mentions it practically every time England squad is announced, very pleased with his performances last couple of games but surely he does not think he is playing well enough???
  17. Had 2 best games of season by far in last 2 games but then tweets some rubbish about him maybe being called up to English squad, why does he not just get his head down and try and play a good dozen games in a row for us before saying anything, or just not say anything at all and just wait and see.
  18. He had cover last year though and was poor, from day one he just seems to be getting worse every season and seems to think he is fantastic the way he goes on, on his twitter etc slating other players!!
  19. Yet he does dive in further up the pitch!
  20. I dont rate Simpson and Guthrie but have to say Guthrie was our best player last night, the worst thing with Simpson he has the attributes to be a decent defender if he would stop backing off all the time, and was more composed on the ball!! You learn not to back off when you play junior football and if he has not learned by now then he never will!! The thing what frustrates me the most is when we lose the ball and he is out of position how he just jogs back after the winger! Also when a winger skins him why does he always wave his arms about as if its someone elses fault! Ryan Taylor has played out of position all season and done well, can you imagine Simpson at left back when he is even struggling on the right at the min. Santon has to start on Monday but doubt he will.

  22. Its a good job Wright Phillips was not on Simpsons wing otherwise everything people are saying about Taylor they would be saying about Simpson as he would of tore him to shreds! Wright Phillips went over there for about 10mins and just kept running in behind him while Simpson was ball watching

If you pay the direct debit over 10 months instead of 12 do people still think you would get a price freeze for the 10 years? Going off the terms and conditions it is only for people paying an annual payment or over 12 months, plus it has to be in by 28th Feb and no later. If you pay after 28th Feb god knows if the club will just mention the terms and conditions and increase the price for people
  24. The most complete left back performance i have seen in years, Tiote was awesome as well.
  25. Simpson does all the defending basics of a full back poorly, he allows wingers to turn and run at him and always lets them cut inside hoping someone else will tackle them! His distribution is also very poor and needs to improve. Lennon was up against him for 20mins and tore him to shreds, imagine if he had of been up against him for 90!! Heard on radio again yesterday that he was talking about England squad callup again
