He was shocking and has not really impressed me since he came, stands 10 yards away from his man and lets him deliver freely into the box or he always lets his man run right inside the box and do what he wants. Also if you watch him he is not comfortable on the ball and tends to just launch it aimlessly up the pitch. The only reason he has not been exposed like this before is that there are not many proper wingers in this league who actually take players on. Surely we can get a better player on loan. If we go up and have to play him in the Premier he will struggle badly.

Just got back from match have not seen replay yet but surely he should of claimed that and been more commanding. The worst thing about Harper is he takes ages to take a bloody free kick and strolls about as if we are winning, and then when he does kick it, it goes towards Lovenkrands and not Carroll

I was there last night and have been to most games this season and struggle to see how he actually gets a game. Ranger is far better than him and at least can hold the ball up. Carroll is over 6 foot yet cant win a header against the defenders and always gets out muscled. Oh and when it comes to his shooting

Mate I was also at the game and not sure what you were watching. Unless Nolan has shots on goal, he is hopeless and provides nothing. Smith is the only player in midfield who sticks his foot in and Enrique is easily our best player and today looked the only one likely to maybe create something

I actually sit in level 7 and like to join in the singing but I agree with most of the posters on here. Why do the fans sing so much about Ashley and the away fans? If want to sing it, fair enough sing it once or twice but it seems like its every 5mins. The QPR fans were not that bad and were singing and defo were not shit. Its just a shame that the fans seem to sing the Ashley chants a good few times a match but only sing Blaydon Races etc once or twice. It was a decent atmosphere as well just need to sing different songs and not the same ones over and over again!

Listening to the radio last night though, Enrique was getting a slating. Did he? Not sure why as he defo saved us twice when they would of been one on one near the end if it was not for his pace getting out of trouble. One of the only players that the fans sang for last night, the fans were poor and it was pretty quiet. Their fans were very loud and all of their fans were singing.

Our defence is not doing to bad at the mo but the worry is our midfield and attack no creativity at all and no pace or anyone able to take players on. Enrique easily the best player we have. Those fans blaming Butt last night, not sure if you watched the game but Barton and Guthrie were just as bad

Butt should be dropped and if we had anyone else so should Guthrie and Barton who should be running the show but dont look interested and pull out of tackles. Not sure if Barton is still not fully fit because he is defo pulling out and Guthrie does not even try to tackle and is not providing much when he should be running the game. Defo need some creative midfielders on loan and Jonas back because as much as he has not got the best delivery always takes 3 defenders away and creates space for others.

Just got in from the match we go 1-0 down in a game and just fold, fair enough we were on top before the pen but never made Robinson make a save. Some chants from the away end: 'We are shit and we are sick of it' 'Ashley Out!' 'One Kevin Keegan' 'Joe Kinnear your having a laugh' 'We want Spiderman, say we want Spiderman!' We desperately need Oba back because as much as people think Owen's goals will keep us up they definitely wont because he wont score many coz needs them on a plate. Well done to Carroll today though, on less wages than most players on pitch but gave everything!

Michael Owen like most of the players at NUFC are not good enough, no heart and no fight. Defenders are hardly going to be scared of Owen no pace at all and contributes nothing unless someone creates something its pointless even having him on the pitch, even when we are creating things for him these days he is missing them! I honestly think Terry / Vidic etc would rather have to play against Owen than Martins / Carroll / Ameobi if we were not creating anything.

Its quite bad when our centre half (Colloccini) and left back are our best crossers off the ball. If we had another centre half like Bassong I think it would be good idea to push him into a defensive midfield position. We have always got Taylor to play centre half

His longer passes round the corner of defenders into corners for our strikers are generally quite good, its usually the little 5 yard ball inside or ball wide which goes astray. I think given time Enrique can be an excellent left back as he never gets outpaced or shrugged off the ball by anyone

Absolutely awful performance today and to think that teams like Wigan, Fulham are not paying out half the wages we are but give 110% every game and are getting results. Today proves if any of our regular back four are injured then the players coming in are not good enough, we also need new midfielders as when the ball goes wide it hardly frightens teams that we have Butt and Guthrie running into box. Also how p1ssed off must Carroll be?? Changes game at Wigan and then does not even get a runout when we have a player taking up a shirt who cant run and needs the ball on a plate for him to score and has been offered a great contract yet still stalls on it. What the hell was he doing when he kicked the ball over his own crossbar when facing up the pitch on his best foot?? Things are that bad that in 2nd half I actually said to mate, we would be more of a threat with Carroll and Ameobi up top. Players at NUFC are just getting their places because of their reputations and need to go. We have 1 great player in Given and the rest have some good games but to inconsistant!

Just got back from the match, for me only Guthrie was our best player coz least he kept going til the end and still looking for the ball unlike most of our team who are only interested in their paypackets. Jonas is not playing well at the mo he tries very hard and puts a good shift in but he is a winger and seems to be taking players on normally in his own half (mainly coz of our shit team) and also when he gets to byeline cant cross. Still learning though and will definitely come good Owen is past it and for people to say he never had a chance is wrong, twice in 1st half he was put in behind and is so slow these days that by the time he gets his shot away someone has already caught up to him. Funnily enough it was one of Duff's better games (which is not saying much), but how the hell he did not score is beyond me. Why did he not just head it in??

It is disheartening when you are actually singing as much as you would at an away game but people cant hear you. It obviously just depends where people sit coz my mate at work sits in the East Stand and he could hear us

I have a mate who sits in the Sir John Hall middle tier and he says that he cannot hear the singing section much. I am in the singing section and know that we sing all the way through matches although when I sat near him last season I could not hear them up the top much. Can people here us around the ground or not?

If we are not creating chances its totally pointless him being on pitch because he does not give us anything. He does not close down defenders and drops off to get it off one full back to pass it to the other full back, great that! His work rate is shocking and never breaks sweat and least Oba is always a threat, even if he sometimes is very frustrating.

I thought the atmosphere would be excellent today but it was shocking until we scored even level 7 were quiet til the goal. Where I sit all I hear is people moaning and never getting behind the team
