Its shocking how when a goal is scored 10-15 fans just run about the pitch and then just jump back over the advertising boards and back to seat without being challenged

Simpsons 2 main problems are: He backs off far to much and lets wingers into the penalty area and his distribution from right back is very poor and is not comfortable on the ball so rarely looks for it from the keeper. Against wingers who dont run at the full back he looks ok, but against tricky wingers he struggles and waits for the right winger to come back and help him. He has a decent cross on him though and today he put a couple of good ones in. If you look at our defence we have 2 players on the left who want to play football (Colo and Jose) but when its on the right Taylor and Simpson are not comfortable on the ball so will normally just hoof it clear and lose possession or make it hard for our forwards.

Has Barton not only made 1 assist (v West Ham) on the right? Cant think of anymore, barring his freekick assists which can be made from any position.

The reason we are lumping it is because 3 of our back 4 cannot pass the ball out. Anyone know where Simpson wandered off to for the goal?

We always do lump it to Carroll when are not playing 2 wingers as we dont have the players to get down the line. I also hate it when we are playing free kicks into the box from near the half way line Routledge and Enrique easily our best players today

It does not help that when he does beat his man and put a decentish cross in our strikers are so static its unbelievable. Fed a ball into Nolan on the pen spot in 1st half and Nolan mis controlled. Routledge also put some great crosses in today but Nolan and Carroll would either be standing still or to slow to react!

After yesterdays match I honestly was wondering where our next win would come and thought that by end of December we would be near bottom 3. He deserved a chance to turn it around though and if have no decent manager lined up cant see the point!

I have not rated him since he came, and even last season cannot remember coming away from the match thinking that he was class or dominated a game like a centre midfielder should. Our team is so slow and lacks pace that is needed for Premier League

God knows why he does not make changes much earlier, his 2nd sub did not come on until 71mins when things needed to be done at half time. Colo gets sent off and we are losing 4-1 so then he takes Jonas off and puts Campbell on!

Simpson for England he is very poor. Stands off his man, lets him turn and then waits for Barton to close him down. Also launches the ball anywhere and passes the ball 30 yards back to keeper when no one near him. We are crying out for some creative players as all we seem to do tonight was pump the ball into the box and hope that somehow it would fall for us. Blackburn were are an awful team and we played into their hands, Robinson had nothing to do apart from the goal

I think Raylor has to start as Simpson would of been as bad today as never seems to tackle his winger (remember Thomas the West Brom winger). I stand in level 7 and I was ashamed today with some people singing 'Hughton, Hughton sort it out', about 10mins after singing how good he is. Then the booing of Perch on his every touch, and also with 10mins to go and pushing for an equaliser some people singing about Sports Direct!! Get behind the team

The worst thing was he was trying to blame Carroll for something for the 1st goal and pushed him out the way when he was trying to take the kick off with Lovenkrands. It was Nolan who got the run around from Robson / Mcdonald for 1st goal yet always tries to blame someone else.

Thought he was poor again today, shrugged off the ball far to easy and some very poor passes. Unfortunately there were not many decent players today though and I thought Hall, Kadar (when moved to centre half) and Gutierrez were only players who did well

Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan in Madame Koo last night according to lad at work, Nolan a very drunk apparently!

I am definitely not one of Guthrie's biggest fans but thought it was one of his better games tonight. Still dwells on the ball but had a hand in Carroll's goal and also his corners were decent for a change.

He's on the left. At Derby he was in middle and was shocking and Cardiff at home although we won he was poor in the middle.

Guthrie has had a few games in the middle and has been poor every time. To slow and pulls out of tackle every time there is a 50-50. We desperately need a creative centre midfielder on loan. Wasn't Hughton saying they would do it for the fans?!

The worst thing about the match last night was how we were outbattled all over the park and especially in centre midfield where they had so much room. As much as people dont rate Butt and Smith we definitely need one of them there otherwise struggle to even attempt a tackle.

Some of the fans in level 7 are a joke and a lot of the young ones only stand there to wind other fans up. I love a bit of banter myself but when we have just won 5-1 against Cardiff and final whistle goes a lot of fans were more bother about getting over to goad the cardiff fans than clap the lads off the pitch after a great performance.

Guthrie came into middle of park yesterday and received the ball what did he do? Get pushed off it. Every time he comes in he creates absolutely nothing at all, he is so slow and takes so much time to decide what to do and then loses it. He had a couple of chances to shoot from edge of the box yesterday to We need midfielders with pace not a midfield with Butt, Smith, Nolan and Guthrie in it as they are so slow and dont create anything.

It's not much of a point given that Nolan has arguably been far more effective. Not recently Nolan has been a waste a space and does nothing for the team

He has played really well the last few games and probably our only player who could make a run like that at the end. I know he made wrong choice at the end but anyone else and they would of been to tired to even move. I would love to see the distances that our players run during a game. I wonder who runs the furthest between Jonas and Nolan?

They are as bad as each other Simpson and Guthrie. Guthrie is poor and so slow on the ball but given time (which does not happen often) can put in a decent ball. He is far to lightweight and slow to play centre mid, and Nolan is far to big and slow to play centre mid also. If Nolan does not play behind front man you never see him all game.
