Our last rollercoaster ended pretty well with Ben Arfa showing up at the airport. So although Ashley is a lunatic with a loaded handgun ready to shoot us in the foot every day, we can still hope for Jol. Then this shall be sung at SJP Jol ololololololo

Oh he's reliable.. regarding small children's secrets..

The same Steve McClaren who has an absolute shit season with Wolfsburg despite spending millions and having one of the best squads in the league? No, thanks. Managers can always end up in these situations, there are more factors than just his ability as a football manager. Like has been said, he did well at Boro, and brilliantly with AZ Alkmaar. Riikjard did very well at Barca and laid the ground for their team today with Messi, Xavi and Iniesta all being key players, and yet has some obvious holes in his CV. Except you're name is Mourinho or Ferguson, you're never going to have a flawless record .

I think he is good enough for this club, in our first season back in the prem. I would agree that a more high profile manager would be needed to take the next step if we'd have stabalized in a few years from now, but at the moment Hughton has proven very good for this club. What the fuck was Ashley hoping for, challenging a place in the CL? This as a horrible timing, but i think the most damage could be avoided by appointing someone within the next 4-5 days, who can come in and take immediate control of this chaos. MON would be fine, Steve McClaren would be excellent.

Someone needs to start a real campaign against Ashley, similar to the Glazer one at MU. Sell some scarfs and give the campaign some distinct colors, Love United, Hate Ashley or something. Hes a disgrace.

no sprinklers? http://www.oleole.com/media/main/images/blogs/images/group1/subgrp369/blogimg_5295_73757-20100429134338783825.jpg Entertaining match, barca tore madrid a new one, well done Guardiola..

Ramos off, this is turning into a farce..

A whole city revolving around one club is one thing, but mixing football with politics and a civil war decades ago when you dont even live in Spain is just ridiculous, so all "Franco" comments are laughable.. ps. anyone else eagerly awaiting the sprinklers? they do turn them on instantly after every match right?

Unless people are living in catalonia or madrid and have emotional ties to this rivalry, i just think this political aspect is silly...

I just think the whole MES QUE UN CLUB wankathron is worse then the whole mourinho fanboyism. Add that to their bitterness less season and its easy to see through the hype. Madrid have been awful, and Barca are taking advantage along with some brilliant individual performances from their players, they have ridiculous talent in their squad..

You're right, big sam's style is pretty much the same as Mourinho's, you're an expert.
-
Boring, defensive, but clinical? I found Chelsea's Mourinho more entertaining to watch then Barca's four-hundred-passes-a-game style of football. Don't get me wrong, they've been amazing tonight, but sometimes its like watching handball. To each his own.

Madrid have no real leaders.. Pepe is like a child, Carvalho is clueless and only there for Mourinho and the money, Casillas can only have so much influence etc, its a group of individuals. It took José two seasons to mold Inter, although this game doesnt say who'll win la liga or the champions league, it might take more time before Real will look and play like a real Mourinho team..

Offside, shocking by the linesman..

Well Özil can go for a shower, he's been shit..

Jebus, went down like he was shot..

I constantly hear people praising Messi, for always being so humble yet so talented, and never diving.. They might be right, but somehow i cant stand his smug face... dont know why really

Krul would've held that..

His success with his teams is probably just built so heavily on his personal relationship with the players. I mean he seems get the utmost best out of the players he chooses to work with, gets rid of the rest. So when he leaves you have a group of players, with talent sure, but not no Mourinho that seems to tie the whole team together. Seems obvious sure but just underlines his amazing presence and why hes the best. Just look at Diego Milito today and what he's been saying recently in the press. Then again, its not hard to fuck things up when you inherit a team from Mourinho, especially if your name is Rafa Benitez
-
I kind of agree with the personal glory bit. It would be ungrateful not to appricate him bringing home the biggest award in club football, but he's made it clear before that he wants to be the first manager to win the english, italian and spanish leagues, then he's going to settle down in England. So until he gets SAF's seat, i'll agree hes in it for his personal glory. But he's still the best manager in the world atm. I hope he wins tonight, and pulls off another pitch invasion like he did last season, so Barca can turn on the sprinklers of bitterness again

They're calling for the jinx effect. Probably not fans of our team but the idea is that if you call a team/player useless, it/he goes on winning/scoring that exact game. Or they're just scum.
