  1. Sorry if people think this is not worthy of a thread but I thought I would highlight it for anyone interested. I haven't bought a replica shirt for years but saw this offer and thought it was too good to be true.

JJB have a sale on this weekend where they are selling replica football shirts for just £15. The newcastle ones can be found following the link below:

    http://www.jjbsports.com/popular-sports-football-football-kits-premiership-newcastle/sport/fcp-category/list?resetFilters=true

They have both the black and white and blue shirts available in sizes XL, XXL and 3XL, although I think XL might only be available in longsleeve.

With this you also get free printing. Tiote 24 is not on there but it gives you the option to personalise your printing and so you can just enter it there. It shows as £10 but gets taken away when you checkout.

If you use the code FIT210FIRST you also get 10% off.

Delivery is £3.99 but if you select pick up in your local store it is free.

LS Blue away shirt in XL with Tiote 24 on the back for £13.50 =  :frantic:

I haven't tried on any puma shirts so just hope that it fits!

Hope this helps at least someone. Have received my email confirming the order from JJB.

EDIT: Have just seen that they have child's sizes available as well for £10 (or £9 with code)

  2. It's just the Barton factor kicking in. On saturday me and my mates were saying there is always a chance with Joey that the kitman has given him a pair of shorts with creases in and he's gone off on one. Whilst i'm 99% sure I believe that hes injured because of who he is there is always that doubt in my mind. A journalist thinking along the same lines has probably just put it to Pardew and he has responded.

  3. I just wish our squad was 'filled' with players with a bit of fight and ability to improve who can come in and do an OK job at the level at which we're playing.

There's no reason we can't bring in a Championship winger on half of Raylor's wages, with twice the ability. There's absolutely no reason at all.

    Adam Hammil for example

  4. So will he be able to play tomorrow?

"I think the most important thing with Shola is to get comfortable with the mask, and he's not quite there yet."

"He won't be involved this weekend, but there is a good chance he could be involved against Everton.

"We have just introduced him to running and dynamic stuff with the mask on, but we will put him into some training, get Joey (Barton) around him, and if he feels confident with that then he'll be ok."

    ;D

  5. Lets hope he hasn't just been a one season wonder

I think it is much harder for a player with Tiote's attributes to be a one season wonder than a striker for example. A player can score 20 goals in a season (and that in itself cannot be argued with) but it maybe that certain 'luck' based elements which have helped them such as balls dropping in the right areas, goalkeeping errors, penalties might not be replicated the following season. Whilst their ability to finish might not have been dimished they may only score 5 goals the following season.

With a player like Tiote I would argue that he has the ability to personally influence much more of his game. For example his workrate is something only he can determine. His natural ability to tackle and pass will also not just go away over the summer. Whilst it is not impossible for him to be a one season wonder I see it as highly unlikely.

  6. We only have 3 games between now and the home game with Wolves on April 2nd. Would be cracking to have him available for the last 9, could give us just the boost we need for the run in.

  7. The early renewals might well work in my favour. This is my final year as a student and i think my NUS card expires in July at some point. This means that for 6 months of the direct debit scheme I will still be a student so will be able to provide ID if I sign up in February whereas if I waited until August like this season I would no longer qualify as a student.

Not sure if it will work but given that this year they asked me to e-mail them a copy of my student ID which I forgot to do yet they still sent me my ST it is definetly worth a go. If they are asking me to commit to a contract as early as February then I will argue that I should pay according to my status at the time!

Sounds like you should get it... from what I've heard the checking of who is a student/child/OAP is almost non-existent.

I hope so, I know I sound like a tax dodging student but to be fair if anyone could find a technicality that saved them £100 on their ST they would use it. I was prepared for my ticket to go up to £400 next year anyway and now I should be able to pay that, get a much better seat and pay by direct debit!

This means that for the first 5 direct debit payments I will still be a student, whereas if I waited until August like this season I would no longer qualify as a student.

  9. Not sure I can afford to renew now. Paid £330 this year but it's my last year at Uni knew my ticket price would go up. Was thinking it would be to £400 in the corner but looks like the cheapest ticket now available to me is £554 - 10% loyalty discount. It may well be the case that being only 22 I could get an adult ticket in the 'young persons area' but I would then be stuck on my own as the lads I go with are in their late 20's early 30's. What with the parents now living down in the south-west I will have to wait and see what I'm doing next year before I make a decision although no doubt I will loose the 10% loyalty discount if I don't renew ridiculously early!

  10. Still trying to decide whether to go to this one or not, one of the few remaining premier league grounds to tick off my list and sounds like a cracking day out, however, none of my mates are going and for once I have plenty of work on at uni but if I don't go I will probably end up wathing United v City and then our game so unlikely to do much anyway...f*%$ it i'll go, anyone else going down on the train??

can you not read the thread title?  We're playing Blackburn.

Am not even going to get into that debate again!

  11. Theres 4 of us with season tickets and another 5 came along to the match saturday. 6 of them left after about 60 minutes as they wanted to get back into the pub as they were going to that Rob Lee thing in the evening, haven't spoken to any of them yet but I can imagine there all gutted. One of the lads only stayed because he was too hungover and so didn't want to contemplate moving having only got up there just before 3, he seemed to have shaken off the effects of the alcohol excess when he was doing some sort of haka/dance when we got the equaliser! There was another lad who was offered a free ticket in the goose pre game but said he would prefer to stay in there and meet his mates  :nope:

You clearly don't have loads of work on at uni... ;-)

Perhaps that sentence is missing the word relatively!  ;D

  14. Kevin Doyle and Matt Jarvis from Wolves if/when they go down. Both would add a lot to our squad if not our starting eleven and would be relatively cheap. Doyle is excellent at playing the lone striker role which would seem to suit us as we could have Nolan, Ireland and Ben Arfa to play the supporting striker role. Jarvis has had a cracking couple of years, can beat a man on the inside and outside, has a decent amount of pace and trickery and isn't a bad crosser of the ball. Also chips in with the odd goal.

Don't think either would be chased by top four clubs as they are not really big name signings but definetly think they are more than good enough for the premier league and would like to think they would jump at the chance of joining us.

Chung yong lee from Bolton also seems like he would be a player worth going after from what people are saying although I must confess I haven't seen him play live too many times.

  15. Theres an idiot on talksport now giving in the usual teams are rough on arsenal, barton should have been sent off etc. To be fair to Micky Quinn and whoever is on with him are saying it was a good tackle and that arsenal need to learn to look after themselves rather than looking to the ref for protection the whole time.

  16. Had just read the above from News Now.

Real shame as I was one of the Nolan doubters who has only just been won over; i'm afraid now he has gone down massively in my estimation.

Although he has not said anything derogatory about NUFC as club captain he should have more sensitivity than to go and give an interview to the official Liverpool site. The wound is still very sore so to speak and most NUFC fans are only just coming to terms with what has happened, there is therefore a greater likelihood that what people say in the media will be jumped upon and for an OTT reaction to occur. He should have had the sense to just put say 'sorry no comment' when they tried to get hold of him. I'm sorry but I am f*%$ing fuming that our so called leader has come out and put a positive spin on the sale of if who must not be named

  17. New desktop for me now too. Cheers!

And me thanks, changed mine last night straight away but it wasn't very good! Forgot to change the screensaver on my phone so that pissed me off when it appeared in the library today

Looking forward to the trip tommorow. Toss up between going to Putney or Hammersmith to drink beforehand, can anyone recommend anywhere? Didn't someone say the Coach and Eight in Putney or something like that?
