  1. Wouldn't mind if it meant we were getting rid of Smith but it's more likely he'd  be Barton's replacement knowing our luck. Have no doubt he's a decent player but not sure he's any better than what we have already. Then again think of all the money on wages we'd be saving!

  2. Would love to see Matt Allwright doing some sort of secret sting operation on Jabba and Del Boy!

But yea seriously. A nice little feature on how good old NUFC has 'frozen prices for ten years' but has actually forced fans to move to more expensive areas of the ground and not allowed them to choose from seats that are actually available.

  3. Best and Guthrie in the squad apparently.

Looks like Kadar is in to according to training photos.

Does it?! For once not sure we can read too much in to the photo conspiracy. A multitude of different colour bibs used this time around just to throw us all off the scent. I wouldn't like to hazard a guess at the lineup tomorrow, nothing would surprise me!

Not the 1st team , just the squad. Good to see him Kadar back anyway. Hopefully he'll have an injury free season next year and see where he's at.

Ah sure my apologies, thought you were playing the 'guess the lineup from the bibs game' that I often play myself.

Agree with you, a season on loan at a Championship club (potentially Huddersfield) would do wonders for him at this stage I think. Him, Ranger and Vuckic were probably our big hopes at the start of last season but, with the exception of maybe Ranger (partly because of our striker shortage) they seem to have been caught by the likes of Lua Lua, Ferguson, Sammy Ameobi, Richardson. (Although granted injuries have played there part) This can only be a good thing for the club and hopefully will have a couple in and around the first team match day squad next season and the others out on loan playing first team football.

  5. Exactly, money wise I'm not really bothered that it will cost a bit more over 10 months than over 12, however, they put a deadline on the end of February for ST renewals with a 12 month direct debit. That was something that they were never going to be able offer those of us moving from Level 7, yet they gave the impression that this was what would happen. That is of course unless I have completely missed something that they said and if I have then I will happily hold my hand up and say I am wrong.

Previous page Jack Flash said he re read the letter and it stated June.

Sure sorry didn't look on the previous page. If indeed in the letter it did say that then can't really have any complaints!

That is just basic customer service that should be part of any business, if you sign up for a mobile phone contract at £20 a month for 12 months you don't expect to then find yourself paying £24 over 10 months, unless you are told otherwise.

  7. We applied for four of us to move to Level 4C. Did it by the end of February thinking that we could do a 12 month direct debit but obviously they didn't actually make it clear that they wouldn't be doing any moves until the end of April. Still haven't heard anything but one of the lads was saying in the ground on saturday that his mates at work had gone into the box office during the first week of may and were able to choose the seats they wanted (in L4C).

Went in to the Box Office earlier and they said this is a load of bollocks.

Yep we rang up ourselves yesterday afternoon and were told pretty much the same thing. Don't know who to believe but hope what the box office is saying is true.

  8. Not a Newcastle player but ran into Paul Terry at the Racecourse Cricket Ground in Durham today. Spent ten minutes or so chatting to him about his time at Yeovil Town and Darlington.

  10. worth a punt at 2mil.  Better squad player then we have atmo.

ryan t vs ireland = no brainer imo.

    get baldy in.

Ryan Taylor has done more for Newcastle than Ireland has.

Not quite sure thats the point. As things currently stand the likes of Paul Huntington and David Edgar have done more for Newcastle than him, doesn't mean I would sign them ahead of him.

  11. Look on the bright side, a fit Alan Smith will be easier to sell than an injured Alan Smith. I fully accept selling him would be a monumental achievement.

Of the senior squad the following player's contracts all end in June 2012: - Enrique, Barton, Guthrie, Lovenkrands, Ameobi and Smith. I can't imagine Mike Ashley being happy to let any of them leave on a free if he has a chance to sell and the wanted players won't sign a new contract. The power is with the players though.

I think Shola has a clause in there somewhere that says his contract can't expire

  12. If Chelsea beat Man U would be interesting to see Fergie's reaction if we suddenly left out Tiote for our visit to the Bridge! Although if I was one of the ones who has paid £50 for a ticket I would be wanting to see him play.

Would be karma for fielding a weakened team against Hull the day we were relegated.

Didn't they win that match though?

Yes 1-0 i think?! Still would be good to wind him up.
