  1. Can we PLEASE just get a manger that will be here longer than 3 years!

We're going continental now so the managers will be lucky to last 3 months.

Some of the names mentioned so far

Mancini - never got on with director of football at Inter

Deschamps - left Juventus because he didnt have enough say on transfers

Kouman - nearly got Valencia relegated because of off field power struggles

    No positives?

  2. I was totally pissed off last night with the pathetic showing in the transfer window, I mean the club the size of ours with one recognised right back (who is injured), one recognised left back (who is injured) and two central midfielders (one of which is well in to his thirties).

    Beye is injured?

He said he was out for 2-3 weeks after the Arsenal game, hopeful he could play Vs Hull.

Why didn't they bring in another full-back? Even after this farce, it's clear there are basic incompetencies.

  4. resigned because he was undermined on transfers as well.

From what I read earlier, this may have been becasue they sold McCartney back to Sunlun without his (Curbs) knowledge.

And we were laughing at KK possibly walking for the club trying to sell Smith and/or Barton!!

He has two fit centre-backs. Two.

  5. Do they honestly think they will be able to sign the likes of Torres, Ronaldo, Fabregas and Berbatov?

    they can.... torres & fabregas = 50 m, ronaldo = 100 m.... berbatov = 1 cent (wtf berbatov????oh dear)

Yes they have the money, but City won't be able to attract such players from their respective clubs until they are playing Champions League football at least.

  6. And what if this bloke did take over and decided that he didn't want keegan as manager? Would we have mongs outside the ground telling him to f*** off back to pakistan [sic], or wouldn't that matter if he pumped money into the club?

    They are Indian.

    Ashley out, Ambani in.

  7. He will stay, Ashley is in panic mode, I say Keegan has the upper hand now, they got a taste of what would happen if they sack him without very good reason. Slag the mongs and Chavs off all you like but looking out of SJP yesterday would have not been a good sight for Ashley, emails to SSN just aint enough is these kind of situations.

I agree. It's just a shame that they were 75% charvers.

They still went down to protest - more than a lot of us did.

  8. 16th August 2008- Newcastle travel to Manchester United on the opening day of the season. Its been a close season of frustration for the Magpies, seeing top targets snapped up by other rivals. Keegan selects new signing Sebastian Larsson in midfield while the other only signing of note, Danny Guthrie starts on the bench. It takes the reigning champions 3 minutes to take the lead and they blitz the Geordies in a one sided first half leading 3-0 at the break. Newcastle keep Man Utd at bay until an injury time 4th. Danny Guthrie makes his first team bow after 80 mins. After the game KK says the second 45 minutes was something to build on but he expected to lose anyway. He promises to keep going till the deadline to bring in new faces.

23rd August- Newcastle are up and running. A late Michael Owen header is enough at SJP to see off Bolton 1-0. Its not pretty but its a start and in a post game press conferance KK admits he is very close to bringing two new figures to the club.

28th August- Following days of press speculation, nufc.co.uk announces United have sealed the signing of Bobby Zamora and secured Jonny Evans on loan from Man Utd for the season. Eric Gates is beside himself with rage on the 3 Legends phone in.

30th August- More woe on the road as Arsenal brush Newcastle aside 4-0 at the Emirates with dynamo Andrei Arshavin at the hub of the Gunners play. KK admits United had bid for the Russian but the lure of Champions League football was too great. KK perks up the Toon Army with the news he expects one further new face this summer before the window slams shut.

31st August- A frustrating day as the window shuts till January with no new incoming players. Youngster Jonny Godsmark joins Leeds on loan for a season.

1st September- The Chronicle reveals Uniteds 11th hour bid for Shaun Wright Phillips stalled after disagreements between messrs Wise and Keegan.

2nd September- Michael Owen announces his contract will be sorted out in "the next 6 weeks or so."

13th September- Following days of tabloid rumours (The News of the World screaming TOON AT WAR on its back page), the Premiership resumes and its a nightmare at SJP. Despite super sub Guthrie scroing a 75th minute pearler at the Leazes End, a disputed free kick sees Hull bag their first Premiership point. A ticked off home crowd boo their side off.

14th September- Sunday press say KK is on his bike. Stony silence at St James'.

    15th September- At 11am, nufc.co.uk release a short statement,

"We would like to announce that Kevin Keegan has today resigned his role as first team manager."

17th September- Dennis Wise announces he would be happy to take on first team duties if offered the role......
