I do believe they have increased their spend on youth development (Membership revenue going straight to the Academy IIRC).
Just a case of they don't know how to use the money.

Don't see why anyone not from Newcastle can be that way either (I can see the argument rearing it's head).
Do we though? I find this line of thought quite disturbing because I think there's a large undertone of xenophobia/racism attached to it.
Not at all, every successful team has its core of home grown talent. Look through every team in history.
