  1. Where do you hear about Barton? @MetroRadioNews Metro Radio News Alan Pardew says he's hopeful Joey Barton and Shola Ameobi will play in the Everton match. Stephen Ireland still doubtful #nufc
  2. Barton and Shola expected to play. Same team as last week but sub in Shola for Lovenkrands.
  3. I don't I've ever wanted Man Utd to win a game of football more.
  4. In agreement, aside from the Becchio bit, I'm not a fan, though I'll admit he's had a good season. Snodgrass is slow but uses craft and guile to beat his man and it generally works. I wouldn't mind Gradel, who is essentially, Routledge but you know, good.
  5. Gradel and Snodgrass could play in the Premier League at a capable level easily. Haven't seen enough of Johnson to make a judgement.
  6. He's entitled to his opinion, and I loved him as manager, but fuck off with this shit Kev. No one knows what Ashley will do, I'd be very surprised if we spent all of it, I'd be pleased to see a net spend in the region of £20m. Like someone as said though it would be amusing to see Ashley give Pards £70m just to piss Kev off

    Danny Guthrie

Physioroom has Ireland and Gosling set for 5th March return dates. They also have Ben Arfa under that date so not taking that 100% seriously. Still we all know that those 3 aren't far away, Guthrie, the Spurs game aside, has been shite when he's played. Barton's injury probably isn't serious, so we'll have plenty of midfield depth soon enough. Also gives us a chance to blood the kids, Ferguson was on the bench on Saturday when Barton pulled out. Richardson seems to be highly rated by Pardew and has been in the matchday squad, Vuckic is injured at the minute but played well against Chelsea in the Carling Cup. Wouldn't see anything wrong with giving any of those 3 a chance at some point.
  8. Although its not out of our reach we're probably not gonna finish 6th. Still we at least have something to push for to keep momentum going. I'm really quite pissed off at Arsenal for losing that game, that said a top half finish would still be a damn good achievement in our first season back given all that's happened, and if we finish above the Mackems even better.
  9. Blackpool without Charlie Adam = big trouble

    Alan Pardew

Meh. Next season we'll see lets be honest no decent signings despite his word that he word that he would doesn't forbode well. But he's doing alright ( I say this now that the alcohol has worn off) he's done quit well Alas only time will tell.

Aye, his record so far given injuries and what has happened is very good.

Sorry, I'm not being pedantic, I was going off the last 3 months which would have been the Man City game. The Liverpool game is an iffy one because of the 'Hughton effect' tbf.

Wigan, West Ham, Birmingham and who? Liverpool. But that's me starting from the beginning of the Pardew reign.

I don't look so stupid now for once on here. neesy you look like an Oxford graduate compared to this guy. We've lost 3 league games in almost 3 months ffs. What a scathing compliment. I actually like neesy, really nice lad away, actually stayed at his before one of the Reds v Blues games. He just struggles with the keyboard seemingly

How many have we won in 3 months? 4 with 5 draws. With 2 of those against teams occupying the top four. Yet we won two against Top four with Hughton Yet we lost home games against Blackpool and Stoke. Its a futile argument, I was a Hughton fan, but we seem to be a bit more savvy under Pardew, not sure exactly what you've got against him when your football team is doing well.

And we've only won three in the lat three months. 4 actually, we're much harder to beat, part of that is down to team spirit, part of that is down to organisation which is credit to the manager.

No, played 3 cbs with Simpson and Jose operating as wing backs. Effectively a 3-4-1-1.
  20. Pardew showed real tactical nouse with his changes. The 3 central defenders pretty much nullified them in attack. Tiote ran himself into ground second half which was also a massive help.
  21. Considering the red card and Barton being injured in the warm up that's a decent point.
