  1. If only there was an Alan Partridge shrugged shoulders smiley from when he's having the meeting with the head of the BBC and is introduced to the man who runs Current Affairs. Only just got in to see this post, and it's buried a few pages back now, but that is fucking GENIUS, Optimistic Nut! I literally guffawed. Dave, make it happen! Please!
  2. I wish that club all the ill in the world. Yep. Fuck the MK Dons. Franchise football sucks huge donkey balls.
  3. Alot? This error happens a lot. Oooo, Dave's been out pedanted. And he's called people our twice in the last couple of days for the exact same mistake. Called people OUT twice...
  4. exactly. sunderland are irrelevant to nufc now we are playing in different divisions. i honestly couldn't give a f*** what sunderland do this term, who they buy, who they beat or who their manager is. it's about what newcastle united do. but a thread like this? it's scraping the f***ing barrell, and dragging us down to their level. let them have their moment to laugh at us. we did it to them, they're doing it to us. the opening post on this thread was highly f***ing embarrassing. theyve spent like 50 mill + in the last 2 years to stay up and still barely did. if it wasnt for retard fat boy MA we'd still be in europe so. f*** the mackems Although the starting point - i.e. Ashley is a useless c*** - of this sentence is correct, you've taken a BIG leap to reach that conclusion...
  5. Actually played on the wing a fair bit for Pompey this season. To be honest, I don't think I saw the lad play a single match last season, so I can't really comment on his ability as a player. Not impressed by the price, though. Rafa has been after a decent wing-back for a while, now, possibly as an alternative to a winger (there don't seem to be many top quality wingers around these days). Certainly, with Kuyt on the wing instead of Gerrard we need a decent attacking full-back to balance out that side of the pitch. But 18 million... I'd much sooner the money had been spent on a proper attacking player. Arbeloa has been just fine at RB. Is part of it that Glen Johnson is English though? Heard something about Liverpool needing to sign an Englishman or two this summer to meet Champions League quotas - not sure how that works if it's true though?
  6. Becoz they iz Spudzzzzz and we all av to h8 dem and boycoutt this board if dere fans are allowed on here... That said, Martin Jol (the poster, not the man) is a prize chump.
  7. Definitely taking the £1 bazillion per week on offer at Man City, is my guess.
  8. Because he'd prefer Santa Cruz and money is no object? bizarre one, though. don't you agree? adebayor is better than santa cruz, yet martins can be potentially better than them both for a little less. Martins potentially better than Adebayor?
  9. 17 anti-Lee Stewarts...?
  10. Is it f***, hope we never have to play that horrible franchise club supported by utter wanks.
  11. He's wrong. It's pathetic and makes me ashamed to be a fan of the Toon when people are crying about this rather than realising the true reasons we went down this season.
  12. Anyone who's posting in this thread claiming Howard Webb was the reason we went down is a fucking embarrassment to themselves and NUFC, in my opinion.
  13. That seems to be a common assumption. Can anyone remind me how many points we've gained from home games against other dross like Hull, Blackburn, Stoke and the mackems that gives cause for such optimism? I actually think as few as 36 points will be enough this season. Which is fortunate as I really can't see us getting to the magical 40 point barrier. Darth Toon wins
  14. And that's not just being fashionably self-deprecating about our own club and its players: we genuinely have a poorer squad in terms of quality and physical ability to compete in a football match than all 3 of those teams. Horrible to say it, but there it is.
  15. I don't know if Young will be back, I find it hard to believe we'll repeat the insanity of Milner at right back. Hopefully Luke Young will be back, and I expect we'll line up Friedel Luke Young - Davies - Cuellar - Shorey Milner - Barry - Petrov - Ashley Young Carew - Agbonlahor Personally I'd like to see Agbonlahor dropped for Delfouneso, but it won't happen. Hope Guthrie and Jonas change flanks fbecause Shorey and Young seems like a very difficult combination to defend against, but luckily Jonas is ideal to nullify that threat. Duff alone will be enough to deal with Milner. Way to go with the kiss of death...
  16. Definitely the second, a million times out of a million. If we win and still go down then we've done all we can (albeit too late, but we have to focus on the now), but if we lose when we would have only needed the draw to stay up, well that would be us throwing away ANOTHER opportunity to get safe, and that would be by far the worse outcome.
  17. not to the fans in milton keynes. it's so long gone now it should be let go. Nope. The only people who have legitimate claims to be supporting MK Dons are children about 12 years old and younger who live in Milton Keynes. These are the only group of people who could 1) pick MK Dons as their local side, and 2) not be old enough to have been supporting another side beforehand. Makes me sick seeing 40 year old men and women cheering MK Dons in their stands: if they're not ex-Wimbledon fans [And how many of them are? Very few is the answer. And even that's not-on IMO.] then what the fuck have they been doing with their lives up until that point? Why aren't they already a Luton fan, or a Northampton fan, or even a Man Utd/Liverpool glory hunter? They are either noveau football fans who don't have any real love for the game and only watch football because a franchise team happens to play on their doorstep, or they've switched teams and they used to follow someone else. Both types of these adult fans have no place in the game IMO, and the day can't come soon enough where MK Dons get relegated right to the very bottom of the football pyramid.
  18. Yeah i've noticed that, seems like a right tosser. Aye, calling that tall guy a c***? And when he saved one of the penalties he spun up laughing and shouted, "f*cking sh*t". Didn't care who won but wanted MK Dons to win just because of that tosser. Wrong answer! Epic football fail, tbh. MK Dons should be hated second only to the Mackems by every right-minded football fan, and it's a disgrace to want anything other than defeat in their every match. Franchise football is WRONG.
  19. Don't seem to remember anyone being overly-soft on Leeds when the Woodgate/Bowyer thing went down. And it's not like King and Spurs aren't getting flack for this. You're paranoid.
  20. Totally agree. If they had more who could finish they'd be comfortably mid-table. They put the likes of Blackburn and Stoke to shame. +1 to that. Dirty ex-Mackem that he is, but you have to say that keeping hold of Kevin Phillips could have been the difference between going down and staying up for them. Crucial error by Mowbray/their board.
  21. What? Absolutely hateful 'team', represent so much that's wrong with modern football. I hope they sink as far as it's possible to go. Franchise football sucks donkey balls.
  22. You've got some kind of complex with them my friend, Palacios has pretty much dragged them up the table by himself. Would that we could sign a player who could play that 'badly' for us...
