An emphatic win here could be the most important one in ages. It might stop Hughton's negative away tactics if he sees that this balanced, attacking 4-4-2 formation can get us a result away from home.
-
Smith will probably come on near the hour if we're winning by a single goal. Can see Hughton just shutting up shop at that point.

R.Taylor >>>>>>> Donaldson on the bench. He must have a knock or something.

The Premier League will become a 19-team league temporarily, two teams will be relegated at the end of the season (18th and 19th), and then three will be promoted from the CCC to make it back up to 20 teams next season.

whats the problem
-
Hopefully the players will rise to the occasion and hammer the mackems then.
-
Fingers crossed we're unchanged.

£10 on Man City, Newcastle and Leicester. £3 on Newcastle to win 1-0 £2 on Carroll first scorer
-
I know, but it seemed to me like you were saying player committee = wussy manager.
-
Pompey tend to beat the mackems at home all the time, it is their bogey ground for sure. Where you sitting? It's a lovely ground.

I liked it how Nolan said the team went bowling with the new lads for two hours and just larked about together. That sort of thing is really good, breaks the ice nicely between the new players and the existing ones and stops there being any rifts. Hopefully we'll be able to sustain the dressing room harmony. Funny how under "tough, hard-line" managers like Souness the dressing room was split but under a "wuss" like CH, its as good as its been in years.

What on earth has that got to do with it? Surely the committee is where players are able to raise queries, suggestions and opinions to try and help bring the club forwards, both on the pitch and on the training pitch? For example; Butt may well be shite but you can see that his football brain still works, just the execution (the important bit) is way off as his legs are shot. This is more to do with the 'mental' side of football than the 'physical' side.

The first thing that Clem always says after each little report is always shit banterry bollocks, about something trivial like someone's hair, or last night: "I wonder if he's had a parmo?"
-
I'm not saying it did work, that last post just seemed like a bit of an attack on Hughton. How do we know that other clubs don't have player committees? It's a good idea if done properly and the manager is aware of it and happy with its existance imo.
-
There's not a chance in hell he'll leave Carroll out, provided the club don't ban him due to the assault charge etc. 4-5-1 with the Carroll/Noz combo up top is my guess. The result will likely be settled by one goal to nil either way.
-
Attributing the players committee to just Hughton is bollocks imo, as we had one when Allardyce was here. I'm sure it consisted of Harper, Given, Milner, Geremi and Butt.

Typical Foster, shifting the blame elsewhere.

For fucks sake, me and several others have explained this too many times. Rooney's record is either just below or just above (I forget) at 1 goal every game when he plays up front with Heskey. He provides such a good foil for the man who is our more talented player, that he must go.
-
What has Walcott done since THAT hat-trick that merits inclusion? Nothing.
-
You could say the same for Spain with Capdevila, or Italy with Toni. Eh? They're good players, Heskey isn't. They're both the weak link of their respective teams. Toni is absolutely shite every time he pulls on an Italy jersey.
