Agreed. I find it hard to criticise( apart from HBA ). Went up against for me the best team in the league so far this season , and came pretty close to matching them. A bit annoyed at losing, but we are in such good shape, got to be happy. move on and DO west brom.
-
It may surprise a few people, But I would be happy for this to see if he can show us critics. I think we are likely to finish around 6-8th. Theres a 6 point gap below us. If ever there was an opportunity to give him another chance to shine this is it.
-
So why single him out? Its the HBA thread.
-
No. I don't think anyone actually wants him to do that either He wouldn't be rushed into trying that is the point. With 90 minutes ahead of you and the game tied at 0-0 you can afford to be a lot more patient with the ball. so you think given 90 mins he will take his time, find passes and start to make all the right decisions. Fair enough believe that. I think he will make the same mistakes he makes in 30 mins for 90 mins. Honestly would Love to be proved wrong by him.
-
For those calling for him to get a full 90 mins. Do you seriously think he could try and take the opposition on every time for a full 90 mins? and not tire and start to lose the ball even more.
-
you will have them up in arms holding him up to higher standards than the human race.
-
yeah good to judge him on 30 mins, what did Sissoko/Cabs/Remy produce in 90? this is the Ben arfa thread tho.
-
Another half hour of huff and puff that ultimately achieved nothing. Sad, but true.
-
first tier, gallowgate and leazes, and Milburn paddocks( as I had a season ticket there for a few years) would suit the stadium imo. probs get the capacity up to around 60k as well.

Aye, Jozy Altidore. I expected them ,after todays results, and the shambles Cardiff as a club are in, to go there tonight and tear into Cardiff. Tbh for 80 mins sunderland were absolute shit, and unable to respond, until late on after Cardiffs Subs did they get into the Game. Conclusion, this will go all the way for them.

s*** performances... here brett, fuck you and your constant dodgy quoting to make points the above edited version, as you well fucking know, was about how we we find it hard to break down teams at home who come to shut up shop west ham, fulham, hull, norwich, west brom, stoke (i left out southampton, liverpool, chelsea as they play more expansive games) so there's 6 of our 9 home games - aside from post-sendings off stoke how many good performances were put in in those games? be honest....cp40's putting us in the keegan/robson bracket here man, how do you think their teams would have done trying to break down those 6 sides? as for cp40's other point i'm happy and enjoying it, don't see why we can't talk about it like I thought I was clearly putting this team 3rd behind keegan and robson, by saying. this is the third best wev'e been. I also said, and its a fact that cant be argued against, in terms of winning something this team has the potential to surpass those. by the sheer fact they did not, and this team is still entering competitions.

Just because you can see the grass doesn't necessarily mean the whole ball is over. exactly, it just means the ball is off the ground. if its the pic i saw it proved nothing, and i suspect the ball was slightly on the line.
-
was it match of they day where they claimed it was deffo over? as I looked the angle was from somewhere over the east stand and it looked like maybe a quater of the ball was still on the line.

Ive gone with Wham Mackems Cardiff for the tan effect. the dream ticket would be Villa with the Mackems and BFS. thats just greed tho.

well , If he told Cabaye he was going to do him. and the ref heard it, then he kicked cabaye- How can the ref see it as anything but intent?

I'm really happy with how things are going this season, I'd be pretty mental if I wasn't. I also think we were really lucky that Stoke self imploded yesterday, before we did a good job of capitalising on our luck in the second half. If that makes me desperate or hard to please, so be it. I agree. I stand by my point , 3rd best shape weve been in since we were relegated in late 70s
-
it is argueably the 3rd best time to support us in 30 odd years. Bettered only by the Keegan, and Robson Teams. Also by the sheer fact in can improve, win something? has the potential to match or surpass them. yet some people are not happy.
-
Completely looked like Everton did an 'US' and turned up half arsed thinking turning up was enough to win. Edit- I dont think sunderland will get that luxury from many opponents

Those Charlie Adam 30 yarders were going to fly in second half weren't they... what do you see with your eyes brett? I saw a manager change to a formation we haven't been playing at home, look out of sorts in adapting to it and in need of a re-shuffle. Major surgery wasn't needed, just a change in formation and maybe a change of personel at half time if we were still getting beat. Obviously nobody knows how the game would have panned out but even when we went one down i was confident we could still turn it around. Stoke just basically threw us the 3 points instead. How many times does he 'get it wrong' at home when faced with teams who are not in the top echelons of the league? In fact, a better question is how many times does he get it right? Was a fucking formation people on here wanted us to play, Ben Arfa back in the side, no Shola, no Tiote at home. So he plays it, struggling with it and gets criticised for trying it Everyone wanted Shola dropped, got dropped and worst we've played at home in recent times when he wasn't in the side. For the record, i thought he picked the right side prior to kick off then soon realised it wasn't really working and was expecting changes half time. Its fucking baffling how anybody can disagree with this.
