Shearer was there before SBR but we wasn't finishing 3rd until SBR came and added Bellamy and Robert etc etc. Shearer is probably my favourite ever player, but SBR wasn't f*cked without him not even close. Absolutely ludicrous to suggest that. take shearers goals out or some of them seasons, when we finished 11th and we would have struggled.
