  1. How much you got on that to be potentially making a slight profit? 250 € on Real/Barca double. 25€ on Barca (-2) / Real (-1) Haven't even really calculated it yet tbh. Just thought at the time doing the bet that it (if both win) will bring me to + / - 0 at least, probably a little profit. Btw, well done Barca. Well done Jose, so far. You'll be lucky to be back in profit for the day if you got similar to the prices I was looking at earlier. Think the best price I saw on Barca was 1/10.

  3. Harper was poor for at least three of their goals, can't quite remember the fourth.
  4. Douglas: I think Alan Pardew's response to the Colo to Liverpool link will endear him further to #NUFC fans... Quotes in Journal tomorrow morning!
  5. I was gobsmacked when I read he was only 19 like. Fuck off! 19?? I shouted fuck off when I read it before my jaw hit the ground. He waits at the training ground like that too ffs.

  7. I'd burn Anfield to the ground if this happened.
  8. Eh? Last night's team was three players short of being our strongest XI and two of those were out injured.
  9. Just watched the penalty incident for their second again. Krul clearly wins the ball if you see it in slow motion, also backs up the picture that was put up earlier. Also looks like Rochina brings the ball down with his arm too. Can't stress how bad the red was last night.
  10. Simpson does all of those things you mention. What bigger issues do we have other than him btw? He's by far the weakest link in our team, I'd say he's a pretty big concern.
  11. @SkyGraemeBailey: Newcastle look set to allow Alan Smith to leave on loan - West Ham and former club Leeds heading the (small) queue for his services...
  12. That wasn't even the most blatant penalty appeal of the night which says a lot about the ref.
  13. Simpson and Perch were woeful but that isn't surprising. Colo had a massive go at Simpson on more than one occasion, even Perch had a go at him at one point. Think it's been mentioned but there was an attack from Blackburn where they both just backed off and pointed at the man with the ball instead of taking responsibility for marking the man. Perch and Simpson presumably? Aye.
  14. That sums up what Simpson did a lot of the match actually. It's becoming such a regular thing now it's getting boring, he needs removing from the side before someone gets so fed up of him they do actually lamp him.
  15. Krul Santon - Saylor - Colo - Raylor Marveaux - Cabaye - Tiote - Jonas Ba - Best
  16. We weren't brilliant by any stretch of the imagination, yet still were the better of the two teams and still should have won. We created a lot of chances, good ones at that, but didn't put them away. Didn't feel like we controlled the game yet the possession stats suggest otherwise. When we lost the ball they tried to break on us which worked a few times so that's probably why it didn't feel like we were in control. Individually, thought there were some good performances and some positives to take. Ba was superb up top on his own, got the better of Samba on more than one occasion and should have had at least one goal. Also drew the 'foul' from Samba that wasn't given as a pen. Ran his bollocks off all night too. Santon looked good, played much better at right back than left back though. Lovenkrands did well from the bench too; wouldn't have a problem with him coming on for the final 20 minutes or so at Stoke after this performance as he should be able to get in behind their defence, something which we looked to do fairly often tonight and it worked to decent effect. Not sure how much it's been mentioned but we had very good shouts for two or three pens and a couple more that I'd want to see again before judging. The ref was an absolute joke and so far out of his depth it was unbelievable. Pardew and the rest of the coaching staff were going mental at various points throughout the second half in particular, with Pardew ending up on the pitch at one point. Never heard a louder rendition of 'you're not fit to referee' either.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Really disappointed in Hatem tonight, he just didn't get into the game at all and barely touched the ball. I'd like to say it was due to the midfield not giving him the ball but he barely offered himself all night. We looked a lot better when he went off as we ended up carrying him in the end. Not too concerned at this stage but tonight was a big opportunity for him to show his worth and he didn't take it. Back to the bench on Monday night, unfortunately.
  18. It was fucking class. Think I hugged about five or six different people and nearly ended up falling down a few rows of seats.
  19. Awful again tonight. Really hope that's the last we see of him for a long time. Hopefully it'll be Santon in at RB and Raylor LB on Monday night. On top of his poor performance, he casually sauntered off the pitch when he was subbed off, even though we were 2-0 down at the time and chasing the game. Needless to say this wasn't very well received by the fans.
  20. Nice to see JH benefitting from this offer whilst others have had to pay full whack.
