  1. imagine the melt down if that happened.
  2. You sometimes have to wonder if it really is the club at work Not happy with Maiga? Carlton Cole is still available you know.. Yeah, thought so was about to post something like this but with the rage comics 'Okay' guy at the end.
  3. Odd. I thought you simply had to accept offers that big? The two scenarios are a little different to be fair. How so? Because they won the league? They are in the CL as well so have a bit more money. Plus, Carroll isn't worth £35m, Gotze probably is. Fair enough, haven't seen anything of him bar a few you tube vids. Only seen him a couple of times myself. Going off reputation mainly.

  6. Errr....thought we weren't allowed to post footy vids.
  7. We've not done too badly tbf. somehow despite a whole load of factors from crap pre season, not technically having a left back etc It's a bit of a miracle isn't it? I did discover a semi logical reasoning in that the teams we had were good teams to get, Arsenal; all over the place great time to play them, Sunderland; Bruce is clueless and Fulham suffer bad travel sickness True, we were lucky with Arsenal, but I expected a draw against Sunderland and Fulham tbh. The majority of the mackems players have played in the prem before, giving them an edge (or so I thought). For Fulham both teams played on thursday which negated our advantage a bit. But Timmy made a few good saves and Best showed some class so, happy days so far. EDIT: Had we played the Arsenal team that Man U did we would have won though.
  8. We've not done too badly tbf. i meant in terms of Ba being a new signing and playing his first few games, thats all.

  10. Surely everything has been agreed by the time a medical starts?
  11. Ancelotti would be a good replacement for him imho, not that he will be sacked in the near future Forgot about Ancelotti, good shout.
  12. Same with SSN. Well hopefully we have LB sorted, now what about RM and a striker? Covered in midfield. Dreamland if you think we're going to get another midfielder. The problem with midfield at the moment (Ben Arfa out, Gosling needing time to develop a bit more) is that centrally we have Tiote and Cabaye. Tiote is a defensive/holding midfielder, Cabaye is box to box but needs time to settle in English football (about a season to fully find himself I would imagine), and even though Jonas and Obertan are good runners they just can't put the ball in the box. Jonas against Fuham got to the goal line, turned back and was asking where the fuck is Enrique to put this cross in and Obertan had to cut back in centrally. At the moment in midfield we have no one who I'm fully confident can put the ball in the box, though I think with time Cabaye, Obertan, Gosling will all be able to do this, and of course Ben Arfa will when he comes back. I'd add Vuckic to that list as well.

  14. Chelsea pretty much have to play Torres, otherwise he will become a £50 million flop. Lukaku was bought for less and is still young, can see him going on loan for a few months in the prem. rumours say for 6 months at most as they want him back for when Drogba heads off to ACN, hardly ideal for any teaming loaning him Half a season isn't too bad. Depends on the fee paid really.
  15. SPL forwards/strikers are hard to judge though. You could find a Larsson, then again you could end up with a Kenny Miller or Kris Boyd. True, but he's done well in the Championship as well, something like a goal every two games. Also, he's still only 23, potentialtastic.

  17. Anyone who watches Scottish football, how's Gary Hooper been playing? I see he's scored a ridiculous number of goals (23 in 30).
  18. Think he's done well so far. The start of the season was always going to be hard on us with the number of changes we've made in the transfer window. After our new comers have settled in properly, and got used to playing with each other in a new league (for most of them) I think we'll have a really tidy squad, injuries permitting of course.
  19. It's funny, out of all our links I thought this was the least likely to actually come off. Should stop paying so much attention to FM.
