What's this about?

I was lucky enough to get a ticket in the corner against Blackburn when Ben Arfa scored that incredible solo goal. I don't think I will ever see a better goal live, the skill to dribble through all of those players then smash the ball into the roof of the net was sublime. I know he had his issues, but I absolutely loved Ben Arfa, he made watching football a joy.

Newcastle United 1-2 FC Barcelona - 18/09/2025

I thought we played well and with a bit of luck it would have been a different game (If only Gordon had struck that chance at the start). Unsurprisingly Barca’s midfield looked amazing. I was impressed with how well De Jong dealt with Joelinton, he matched his physicality and held his own, such a good player. Only downside is the inevitable fatigue the players are going to be feeling, hope the defeat didn’t impact moral too much as well, Bruno looked gutted by the end. All in all a good display, our next few Champions League games are very winnable, it’s a shame we had to open with one of the hardest teams when our squad is still lopsided due to Wissa’s injury and Woltemade’s bedding in period. Thought the display from wor flags was class, as well. -
The prices are eye watering. Was hoping the white striped top would be about £40-50. No way am I paying £70. Same with the £100 trackie top. Will wait and hope it goes down in price one day.

What a shit start to the day. I am very aware I'm far too emotional about all of this, but we have been bent over and fucked here. I'm pissed off about the price they got him for two reasons. 1. The club set a price, then buckled, for no reason I can see. 2. The final fee doesn’t reflect the player’s quality. Isak is one of the top strikers in world football. Given the scarcity of elite strikers and the inflated prices we’ve seen for others, we should have commanded a significantly higher fee. I'm generally pissed that we’ve effectively rewarded both Isak’s and Liverpool’s behaviour. Now we’re left with a young striker who, while promising, is still largely unproven. Throwing him in at the deep end immediately would be Man U levels of player management. If we end up spending the Isak money on one or two subpar replacements, it’ll be incredibly frustrating. We desperately need a Premier League-proven striker, and right now, we’re in a lose-lose situation. We could have held firm and sold him in the winter or summer window. He would have played for us again—just like Kane and Suárez did in similar situations. He had no real alternative unless he wanted to derail his own career. That would’ve given us time to properly prepare and line up a suitable replacement, rather than scrambling like we have all summer since he threw his toys out of the pram. In conclusion, fuck Isak (genuinely hope his acl explodes), fuck Liverpool. I hope our fax machine explodes and we do a de Gea.

Wissa and Mainoo would be incredible for when the press start to unsettle Tonali next summer.

28% win percentage in the premier league. He's an absolute fraud, and it pisses me off that the got paid millions to be so crap. Actually, it pisses me off everytime I remember he exists.

Three nights of football dreams now. Last night, I dreamt we had a game against Forest on Sunday morning before the final. Eddie played the first team, and we lost 1-0. I was fuming—everyone would be knackered and demoralized just hours before the final I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but those butterflies are starting to kick in.

Went to Bruge away many years ago. Saw more people I knew in the city centre than I see in Newcastle. It was a class trip, despite not managing to get a ticket to the game. No regrets.

Is the club just cursed? I guess this just underlines our underdog status, less pressure for the players *clutching straws*

Also the signing of Casemiro shows that there is value in getting experience. We'll need that next season for Europe.
