abramovich must be mad to do all this. they're the reigning champions and until last weekend, things were fine....
-
Relegated teams often can't score goals. We have the league's joint top scorer and joint second. Thats promising....
-
Hughton just needs to sit Routledge down and say "JUST. STAY. DOWN. THE. RIGHT. Stop cutting inside and stay on the wing". Fine him for each unnecessary cutting inside. Then play him. He's so frustrating.

Win 2 from Chelsea, WBA, Liverpool and Brum and things are

Yep. People say we'd struggle to replace an Enrique injury, but what about Jonas? If anything happened theres absolutely nobody that could go there.
-
No, I don't see that catching on at all.
-
He's worth hanging onto, just in case we go down again.

Guthrie centre, Routledge wide.

I love Hughton. But just like he should be praised when we win, he should rightly be scrutinised when we lose. And I'm seeing the same mistakes made again and again. His hands are tied to an extent, but clearly Guthrie shouldn't play on the wing. The substitutions aren't getting any better. For his sake, lets hope we don't get worse with injuries/suspensions because Guthrie/Smith/Lovenkrands shouldn't be playing, especially together. Really hope he turns things around.

playing with 10 men >>>>> playing with smith. joke of a player, even in the championship. get out.

I like the guy, but since Arsenal he's tailed off. Its time to try something different. And if it doesn't work, just put him back in.

we just need tiote and barton back. i'm starting to get concerned, admittedly, but we're halfway there points-wise. its imperative we improve at home though. this league is just so unpredictable lately.
-
Err you sure? Aston Villa, Blackpool, Chelsea (cc), Man City and Bolton x2. fair enough. i dont count the cup though. and man city shouldn't have had that one.
-
Like they reacted to the Blackburn and Fulham games? we didn't get molested 5-1 then.
-
Krul Simpson - S Taylor - Campbell - Enrique Routledge - Tiote - Nolan - Jonas Carroll - Ameobi i like williamson, but he's been off key recently and today gives an excuse to try taylor/campbell. can't predict how this will go. we do badly at home, but are prone to slaughtering someone. we win when we shouldn't. chelsea are horrific at the moment, but will they really lose 3 in a row? then again, they've got no terry, alex (maybe), essien or lampard. i think we'll win 1-0.

sounds like a nightmare match. trying to remain positive here..... we normally defend well and we didnt. jose is normally immense and he wasnt. we havnt conceded many penalties lately and we did. we had no tiote, no barton and our central midfield had nolan + smith. factor in our terrible record at the reebok.....of course we lost! it just sounds like one of those days where it all goes wrong. the worry is that we're without coloccini for 3 games, but tbh now theres a reason to play campbell or taylor today was a one-off and we can beat chelsea next week. mind you, we really have to win that one. we have the sort of personalities in our squad that'll react well to this. maybe they needed a wake up call.

Bent is an idiot for parking in Newcastle - especially if he has a personalised plate. Although its obviously not right, i've got no sympathy for him at all. He knew that would happen. Caulkin has been proper brown-nosing him. I know he's his mate but why isn't he like this to his NUFC mates? It all sounds a little desperate.

L'Equipe's reaction is funny but accurate: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/nov/18/france-press-reaction-england-wembley

just bumped into Andy Carroll down Osborne Road. he either went in Osborne's bar or the one next to it. to be honest, i froze and didnt say anything......was too confused as to why his reg plate read 'Cassoll'. and of course theres the fear of being glassed! he was walking fine btw. i doubt he'd be out if he picked up a knock in the match.

carroll has always suited the ponytail. i'd hate for him to change now.

Henderson stayed on longer than Carroll. Hendo > Andy [/mackem thinking]

Tweets: DianaInHeaven Princess Diana Call me selfish but I can't wait for that Andy Carroll to die. Yum! ....also, Robbie Savage has been tweeting Ferdinand all match and analysing every touch.

Well done, Andy. You'll definitely be back.....bet Capello was creaming himself. Does take off some gloss knowing he was replaced by Jay bloody Bothroyd.
